Trench Barrel Nerf was needed to save PvE
Because of the trench barrel nerf, we can finally use other things. We can finally have trench barrel on other weapons. We can finally enjoy PvE without being forced to use one weapon.

"Save PvE"? This will barely make any difference. Let's be honest here, this nerf is another quasi-placebo, an appeasement compromise for the usual complainers who were getting louder of late. 1) It's just enough to be noticed by users, to make the gun feel a bit weaker. Users will be reminded, every time they stop to nut-sack-punch a boss after 3 shots, that "oh yeah, I have to do this because gambit players complained". 2) At the same time, it's not enough to make a real difference when shotgun-melting a boss effectively. One second, maybe? It will only annoy or piss off a lot of players. But it might be enough to shut the complainers up by making them believe that something has actually been accomplished with this nerf, and it might make some others use another shotgun because they'll beleive "omg it's ruined!" It's rubbish, as are many past nerfs, and it could have been avoided if Bungie had the guts to say, when necessary, "No, we're not doing this, and here's why." But that's not likely to happen because every time Bungie *gasp* [i]talks back[/i], people lose their shit.

I feel bad for anyone who started playing after forsaken launch. They'll never know the joy of a tractor cannon paired with a void ikelos shotty.

I enjoyed PvE just fine before and after I got IKELOS. I used multiple weapons based on the situation. There was no reason to nerf anything.

I was enjoying pve with it and without it equipped.. Thanks for ruining a perfectly good weapon because you're a crybaby begging for unnecessary nerfs.. You probably cried for Ursa furiosa to get nerfed ad well .. Two unnecessary nerfs

5 RespuestasAnyone who thinks that they were ever 'forced' to use one weapon over another needs to grow a pair and tell everyone else to -blam!- off with their suggestions. If you think that any PvE nerf is necessary, and will 'save' PvE, you're absolutely delusional. Just like PvP, there will always be a 'best loadout', when you nerf one, another arises, and you're just going to be bullied into using that one. Best to man up and stand up for yourself early...
