Just played a match against a full fireteam, as usual when i play solo.
But if this is already not enough, I've lost because of catch-up mechanics:
1. First round we won.
2. The second round we only needed 10% (the enemy team needed 70%) to kill the Primeval and what happens? Primeval is suddenly immune and attached to some adds. We killed the first add he was attached to and suddenly the other add attaches on him. 20 second gone for nothing, a present for the enemy team.
3. In the final round i die from NOTHING with a full life bar and a full super and melting point. 3 seconds after i respawned, the enemy teams wins.
The only thing i did was shake my head and turn my PS4 off.
My motivation to do my best is gone. What's the point of playing, when you know you will be screwed up by the unfair game.

yep because goblins = catch up mechanic :)

You mean the enemy team let you sit for 20 seconds before they burned the boss instantly?

18 RespuestasYou do realize nothing you mentioned is a catch up mechanic right and not even close to what people mean when they say catch up mechanics. You think Bungie programmed a couple random adds to spawn and shield the boss because you won a round and then decided you had to die for no reason so the other team would win? Get your spinfoil hats out people. How many times has that not happened? Every other time? This is just general whining from a salty child because something didn’t go his way. When people say “catch up mechanics” in reference to Gambit they mean free PE slayer stacks to the team who summons second along with those glowing mote filled adds that spawn for the team who has yet to summon their prime to help them “catch up.” Grow up and quit wasting peoples time with your nonsense when Gambit has actual issues that affect all players. Boss shielding by adds and “what killed me?” Aren’t catch up mechanics. Kill your adds and utilize cover and those things won’t happen. You’re what’s wrong with this game and why we can’t have nice things. You hear one of your little buddies talking about “catch up mechanics” and “op weapons and abilities,” and then go around repeating it not having a clue what you’re even talking about.

Nothing in this post suggests you lost as a result of catch up mechanics.

So the enemy team was better.

7 RespuestasGambit is so wonky and broken I'm staying out of it until they fix it. There's so many hidden factors at work.... it just feels like winning or losing the round is a coin flip. Sometimes the enemies are pathetic and you steamroll over them, sometimes they're ridiculous and it takes almost an entire clip to kill one red bar. It's literally the difference between walking around in a patrol space and soloing a nightfall. And I don't think it's consistent between the teams; I've had rounds where the enemies were incredibly resiliant, almost impossible to kill, and the enemy team had turned in 25+ motes by the time we even got done with the first group. Plus, the team vs. solo advantage is ridiculous. It's almost impossible to win a match against a fireteam - it's almost impossible to lose a match if you're in a fireteam and you're against solos. Also, I've played in fireteams, and outside of them - I have never once seen a fireteam face another. There is something deeply wrong with the matchmaker. Bottom line, the mode has potential but it's implemented so badly it squanders it.

Editado por Mao Zedong CCP: 11/21/2018 11:53:05 PMI'm in favour of the catch up mechanic its fair on people who are just solo players there are a lot of 4 stacks around who will more than likely win against a team who isn't communicating, but at the very least the team of random have a slither of a chance of winning. In comes the new changes and now its just completely one sided, here is a thought, why not separate 4 stacks and force them to play in a ranked/comp version of gambit.

Enemies don’t deal bonus damage and you don’t deal more if you win or lose a round. The catch up mechanic is only if the other team sucks. For example if you have 7 stacks, they would summon and have 4 stacks. If you can’t kill primeval EVEN WITH 7 stacks then it’s player issue not catch up mechanics being op. -
That's why you use tether to kill all the adds instantly :>

Round 2 is by far the worst thing I have ever seen in a game. I hate round 2 whether we have won or lost the first round because I know we will either get an undeserved win or we get to watch as the losing team all of a sudden goes god mode out of nowhere just to force a round 3. And people wonder why others just sit in the back or tie rubber bands to their controllers to get through the first 12K points. Gambit doesn’t feel good as a winner or a loser. It’s just a poorly designed and executed mode.

Don't feel bad. A few days ago I was inches away from finishing off the Primeval. Popped my super at the perfect time, BUUUTTT........the Primeval stomps his foot (like every other freaking creature in this game), and slams me far far away so my super can evaporate helplessly. The other team won. Damn, that was fun.

To me it just seems like the Taken Goblins are doing what they're programmed to do. So no, this wouldn't be a "catch up mechanic." You're complaining about something that would've happened literally anywhere else where there are Taken Goblins.
-
do you do anything aside making crybaby posts that show your ignorance and inability to play?

Gambit s*cks, man. Just like all the other pvp sh*t.
-
Gambit is a joke, I literally got the gun I wanted from it and haven't played it since. Malfeasance isn't thorn so I have no care to get it. I got bygones and trust, literally no other reasons to be in there.
-
if it took you 20 seconds to kill 2 goblins thats on yall and dying from nothing is usually a by product of lag, also not bungo's fault catch up mechanics are dumb, but this aint it chief
-
Goblins aren't a catch up mechanic...
-
That had nothing to do with catch up mechanics. Your team didn't kill goblins period. The third round was probably those almighty architects that have all the power of the Traveler and the Darkness combined.
-
When you don't kill the goblins...
-
Catch-up mechanics don't guarantee a loss. Over the past few days, I've played 28 games, and won 22 of them, all playing solo. My rando teams even beat some four-stacks. All the catch-up mechanics in the world won't help the other team if you don't let them bank anything.

Hopefully next week's changes to Gambit fix some problems.
