One phasing a raid boss is not a glitch, exploit or cheese.

It is a cheese if it bypasses all mechanics. Thats why one-phasing Calus isnt seen as a cheese, but one-rooming Riven is.
-
By passes what mechanics? Riven does not have an immunity phase. Working as intended
-
Stunning, identifying and popping eyes, cleansing symbols. Y'know, the entire set of mechanics.
-
It's still a one phase rendering it not a "cheese".
-
Its not a phase - you didnt perform all the mechanics that constitute a "phase". You bypassed them, ergo: Cheese. Easiest way to tell a cheese? If people struggle once the loophole is closed. If Bungie cap room damage, people gonna struggle lol
-
Yes it is a phase, due to the fact that you can deal damage when she channels her wipe mechanic. therefore it is in no way a cheese.
-
Its the start of a phase. You havent completed a phase until you've stunned, popped eyes and cleansed symbols at least. You are bypassing basically the entire fight. If you dont think bypassing an entire fight is a cheese then you are out of your mind lol. For the record, I've done it and I dont particularly care whether Bungie leave it as it is or not, I just dont lie to myself about what it is.
-
But the purpose of doing a raid in D2 is to do it as efficiently as possible. That being said not many players want to do it the way Bungie intended.
-
the way Bungie intended.
THERE IT IS!!!
-
Well it's not a cheese in any way shape or form.
-
It is. Its an unintended (by your own concession) bypassing of 95% of th encounter! How is that not a cheese?! 😂
-
Okay since when is dealing damage to a raid boss a cheese?????? Spare me the bypassing mechanics argument.
-
"Ignore the literal reason this is a cheese and tell me how this is a cheese" Great argument 🙄 Its unintended, it renders virtually the entire intended encounter null - its a cheeeeeese
-
How is doing a HUGE amount of dps to a raid boss a cheese?!?!?!
-
Because we werent intended to do it there and then. What is the point of the rest of the fight then? Why have seperate rooms if we were meant to run into one room and burst her down, ignoring literally all mechanics? As you concede - its unintended. If you're taking advantage of an unintended loophole to bypass mechanics, its a cheese. You have literally no rebuttal to this else you'd have offered one by now. Is it the cheesiest of cheeses? No. Its certainly not on par with cable pulling Crota. But its definitely a cheese. And, as I said, I've done it too so I'm not trying to put you down or anything. I really dont care beyond the potential for an amusing saltwave in the event of a tweak to the encounter. I'm just being realistic.
-
If were not intended to do damage why isnt she immune?
-
If we were intended to kill her there, why are Bungie "taking a hard look"? https://gamerant.com/destiny-2-last-wish-raid-cheese/
-
Editado por Mara Sov’s Step Bro: 11/20/2018 9:15:09 AMBecause they cant take an "easy look" If you nerf damage or what ever you make it even harder to do her "legit" Because the only answer to this is to not create a boss with out an immune phase prior to damage phase again because literally every boss in the game like that can be melted. Theyre "taking a HARD look" because its a HARD problem because its literally at the core of the encounters design
-
Not really, the bulk of damage was supposed to come from popping zits (oh look, another mechanic skipped!), if you actually knew the encounter, you'd know that. No need to increase health, you could just increase her resistance to guardian weapons and boom there you go. Personally, I'd just cap off her damage in each room and then allow brute-forcing up top. At least by that point the teams done most of the phase. But, as I have said elsewhere, I really dont care whether Bungie do anything to it or not - I have a steady team and we learned it legit first. I'll just steer clear of LFG for a while lol
-
You want rebuttal i'll give it to you. There is a certain part during the encounter when riven channels her wipe mechanic that allows players to deal HUGE amounts of damage to her (if they so choose). therefore it is not cheese, it is a means to an end and most of the player base would prefer doing it that way.
-
But as you yourself acknowledged earlier - Bungie never intended for players to 'kill' her there and then. You are exploiting a design oversight to render what is meant to be a lengthier fight involving mechanics into 10 seconds of spazzing rockets at her face. That is definitely cheese. If it wasnt, Bungie wouldnt be (in their own words) "taking a hard look at it".
-
Bungie never intended for Nokris, Brakion or any other boss without an immunity prior to damage to be one phased. Bottom line is were powerful, coordinated and both outlevel and outgear the encounter
-
Strike bosses =/= a Raid Boss. Unless you want to devalue raids to the level of strikes, thats a piss-poor comparison lol.
-
Doesnt matter in the least. Bottom line is that "like" strike bosses she IS DESIGNED without an immunity phase prior to damage. If youre so dense you cant realize this Im sorry. Its a poorly designed boss(for you. I personally enjoy melting) Fact of the matter is its a strat that operates within the encounters designed parameters. Not a "cheese" not a "glitch" and not an exploit If you have a problem with it than voice to bungie not to make bosses without immune phases. Calling it an exploit just makes you sound dumb
-
Its a poorly designed boss
See, you know you're exploiting design oversight. For all your insults, mental gymnastics and posturing, you still know this, but cant admit to yourself that you're cheesing. The fact that the legit method is called "LEGIT" speaks volumes. Well, I hope you actually learned to do it legit in case they do actually remove the ability to cheese her. I'd be fine. Would you?
