Hopped onto Destiny 1 with my clan last night for the first time in like a year and did Vault, Crota, and Kings Fall last night and it was the the most fun I’ve had with the crew in quite a while. Yeah we were all max light but that only added to the hilarity.First We left a plate too early opening the vault and razzed the guy, killed as many Gorgons as we could for the lulz, Walked through the abyss in TDB with max darkness debuff, completed sword bridge without a cheese for probably the first time ever lol, then called out “PARTY CROTA” ran around like idiots during the entire Crota fight and somehow didn’t wipe (lost count of over soul kills lol), then it was 10:30pm and we said screw it let’s do kings fall and the hilarity continued. Opening Court of Oryx part was a dumpster fire of errors and fun, tombships went about the same with all the shaming for forgetting the patterns and missing jumps, by the time we hit War Priest our war cry had become “Screw it, We are basically gods at this point”, I invoked “PARTY GOLGORATH” and then came the dick wall lmfao with more shaming, We then 16 bombed Oryx and it was the most lighthearted fun night we have all had in about a year.

53 RespuestasBut now we have raids that if you miss a single call out that is a wipe....Everyone shut up or we will miss the calls.....Great fun.

2 RespuestasD1 is still a better game than D2.

10 RespuestasIt annoys me that we’ve never had a boss fight like Templar since vog. Every boss makes you feel like the encounter is controlling you where in the Templar you felt like you were controlling the encounter. The only thing that you needed to do to start a damage phase was charge the relic super, which led to a fast paced fight with a lot of short damage phases that you really needed to coordinate your team to get the most out of them. Also blocking his teleport. Why haven’t we seen anything like that since vog? The option to make an encounter harder in order to speed things up. We’ve had so many long encounters solely due to the fact that we have to please so many phases of mechanics and not because the fight itself is challenging. Meanwhile templar could take a while if you wanted to play it safe, or you could speed things up by splitting up your team and spawning more challenging adds. It’s honestly a master piece of a boss fight IMO End rant

1 RespuestaD1 Raids were fun! D2 Leviathan Raid meh. Raid Lairs are 50-50. EOW is good Spire is garbage. Last Wish raid is heavy on the mechanics like Spire was. IDK. I simply enjoyed the D1 Raids more.

14 RespuestasEditado por Demon_XXVII: 11/2/2018 5:37:01 AMAll of the D1 Raids (and strikes) are much more fun than anything Raid like in D2 With maybe the exceptions being EOW (that would be ok in D1) and The Shattered Throne dungeon

I used to go into work tired and absolutely worthless from staying up late to get Raid clears in D1. So much fun... In D2 we just stop when were tired or need to go and pick it up the next night. D2 definitely brought a different mindset when it came to Raids. They lost something in the transition.

Aaaaaand enter Destiny 2 raids, mechanically sound but lacking heavily in fun.

The thing I loved about every raid in D1 was that they all felt like you could just sit back with some buddies and chill. People could die and it didn't matter, except in Kings Fall... D2 raids just feel like a chore, even more so now that if 1 person dies, not only does it make the encounter 100% more of a pain in the ass but now you're also racing against that stupid revive timer and heaven help you if nobody has a revive token.

2 RespuestasFor me the difference between D1 and D2, in D1 I'd do as many raids I could on all characters every week. In D2, Once I beat it once, I'm fine with that. I don't have any desire to touch it again, unless farming the legend of acrius or to get the Last Wish 1000 voices weapon. I like in D1 how the weapons and/or gear you could could benefit you in that raid the next time you did it. Now I watch Datto and KackisHD's guides over and over to learn the strat before even attempting since the find fireteam feature everyone wants you to know whats going on and have 10 completions. I am still trying to do spire of stars normal when I have time, but last couple times got kicked from the find fireteam feature before I was even invited, probably because of no completions. Side note, If anyone has a clan that likes to do SoS normal and then down the road farm for the sleeper catalyst let me know! My clan the Ghaul Stones have broken apart.

Lmfao I remember falling asleep in VoG I woke up to laughters because I kept walking to the edge and falling off or jumping and stopping mid flight to the templar fight lmao.

1 RespuestaD*ck wall was always the best part of any raid. It was mandatory to tell the noob to pick up the orb in front of the first one and yes it happened to me too 😂
-
5 RespuestasIf D2 came first, you would be beating Calus and Argos for the same nostalgic feelings.
-
Quality and you stopped before putting a downer on it by doing the other one which was rubbish:)
