I feel Bungie doesn't have much ground to stand on in gating Nightfall's. They are just strikes, so open it up. It would be a lot easier to grind for the Nightfall loot.

1 RespuestaEven with a large clan alliance on Discord it's hard to find people who want to to a particular activity at any time. All activities should have matchmaking and have a way to set your game in "Solo" or "Fireteam Only" mode. And I mean every one. Start an advenure, get matchmade. Go to kill Gravetide Summoner, get matchmade. Start a nightfall, get matchmade. Start EP, get matchmade, start a Blind Well, get matchmade, enter an Ascendent challenge, get matchmade etc. And for the truly brave yes even start a raid and get matchmade. All of this should be on by default unless you indicate that you want to play alone or with your pre-chosen fireteam. Will you from time to time be matched with people who struggle with the activity? Sure, but if that bothers you just go make fireteam as today.

1 RespuestaEscalation protocol, Nightfall, The blind well and even raids. This is all great content totally let down by no optional matchmaking. I think if I was the team of devs who designed this content I’d be pretty dumbfounded if the higher ups said we don’t want matchmaking. I would say there is a higher percentage of players who don’t bother with this content than do. It was a fact that raids in D1 were the least used content.
-
4 RespuestasTry guided games on nightfall, it's same as matchmaking.
-
Totally agree
-
6 RespuestasSome will mindlessly argue that optional matchmaking won't work. Sure some bad scenarios will happen, they happen now in lfg, 100io, guided games, etc.. Giving all players a convenient in-game route to try activities they won't do because of a lack of in game matchmaking would bring the overall competency up over time. If you don't understand the concept of optional just keep your pie hole shut. Same for elitists that are afraid some randos might have a chance at being successful or at least gain some experience that helps them if they do choose to lfg instead.
-
7 RespuestasYup optional matchmaking has been needed since D1’s release date. And for raids too. Why take away player choice instead of give it? If I want to deal with randos in either activity, who are you to judge? You do you, but don’t decide what’s right for me...
-
1 RespuestaI agree it should be a thing.... how to handle the challenge card though is a question that they’d have to answer
-
11 RespuestasI WOULD say yes, but what happens with modifiers? Who's card does it take? What happens when 2 people want to speedrun it and one person wants to go for a high score? Do I even need to say AFK? Matchmaking on end game content will lead to nothing but whining and complaining, and through that a Nerf to the content. Don't believe me? Look at heroic strikes back in D1 Y1. 27 strange coins a week, guaranteed. Then they added matchmaking and removed the coin reward.
-
2 RespuestasI will never understand why people want this. The nightfalls in D2 are much more easier than the one in D1 and they are also soloable...
-
People have been asking about this since D1. Not going to happen.
-
1 RespuestaLFG no mic Nightfall w/o modifiers = Endgame MM Strike with horrible modifiers = Casual play There, that should clear up Bungie's thinking on the matter for you.
-
Nightfalls should have optional matchmaking and optional modifiers for custom runs. BUT It should have regular matchmaking with preset unique modifiers outside of the ones we already have.
-
Your in a clan go grind the nightfall.
-
sooo how would that work when the card you run NF determines the difficulty you run at, the buffs and debuffs etc.. do you go for a quick run or a full on highscore.. Find two friends, join a clan or LFG.
-
Yep. Couldn't agree more.
-
1 RespuestaConsidering how easy nightfalls are it should be.
-
It sure would be nice.
-
Nonsense excuses incoming!!! Stupid bungie apologists...

2 RespuestasEditado por Sergeant Jinx: 11/1/2018 3:40:34 PMNo, not going to happen IMO. It has been asked for time and time again in D1, it never happened . Now you have the challenge card it makes it even worse...... Who's card are you going to use, what about light level and say your card has a 30 light reduction and one of the fireteam is only 530 light..... Your on a solar set up yet the card thats running is void and that person is adamant they re running void, but you don't have void subclass unlocked yet. The list goes on.........

2 RespuestasEditado por SINECURE53: 11/1/2018 4:00:45 PMAfks all over the place on pvp, blind well, gambit and strikes. Takes 2 mins to find 2 people for nightfalls. If you need help add me on xbox. I farm NF all the time. Trust me man we dont want MM in NF.
-
5 RespuestasLol have you played gambit solo
-
Heroic Strikes are too easy. Most people just run past everything to the boss. It would be nice to try something more challenging for once.
-
26 RespuestasWith random matchmaking in NF - how will the challenge card be set up? Hope you got it correct? What if you don't like blackout and the fireteam leader has blackout - do you just quit until you find something to your liking? Why not just keep it as is, set up a full team before locking out equipment - and win.
-
Do people EVER think before they speak anymore?
-
2 RespuestasNF is in a good place right now no need to fix something that is not broke. With the challenge cards and the 100K bonus...There is always some one on LFG looking to run. Takes less than 5 to put a group together. People have different objectives when running a NF. I enjoy going for high score, where as others would be just as happy breezing through as fast as possible. Both play styles are legit but the chances of match making putting 3 like minded people together seems slim.
-
Optional MM would be ideal. They had it in nightfall strikes for a little bit in D1 then took it out. Bungie's backwards thinking isn't helping this game much.
