So, take the risk that many streamers have done. Quit your job and try and make a living playing games and offer free advertisement. Streamers don't owe you anything, you're the customer.

my favorite was Gothalian.. I mean dude gets his wife to prance around half naked to get his stream up. if it worked good on him however, i'm not prepared to put my wife through something like that.. the content should stand on its own without the gimmick.

Editado por Cinderchar: 10/23/2018 5:39:22 PMI see a lot of people calling these guys jobless down below me. While I would never support any of them with my own money, the quality streamers could easily get video editing jobs out in the market place if they needed to. I do respect the amount of time I know the high level ones put into editing a video because I am in a similar field and know the time constraints of making quality videos. I would imagine most people are just upset they hate their own job.

The risk? You mean quit a minumim wage part time job, while mom & dad pay rent and utilities?
-
See my other reply, youve basically said the same thing as the other tool. Saying someone lives in their mom's base when it's completely obvious they don't just makes you sound jealous. If it's so easy, go do it, apparently you think you'll be able to dictate how one of your favourite games work, surely that's a no brained.
-
Risk, most were already jobless playing video games in the basement.

Editado por Peloquinsoul: 10/23/2018 5:08:16 PMYeah those high end gaming pics, stream set ups and clearly not mom's basements are surely the product of someone with no job. You sound pretty jealous? Did you get refused as a twitch affiliate by any chance?

Not everyone wants to play this game everyday.
-
Then don't. But youre out of your mind to think you'd get the same progression as someone who does. You want everything in a looter, you put in the time. This isn't a Halo/Call of Duty style fps, it's a loot based game, which will always reward people who put in more time than others. If you can't play all day, that's down to you. Not the streamers, not Bungies. You're welcome to try and support yourself playing games, but your deluded if you think these guys just decided to stream one day without putting in the effort to make it a viable form of employment.

TLDR: Nobody wants all the progress, they just want reasonable progress. Salt with streamers is because Bungie listened to them advocate w/o taking into account their ability to build a career around gaming. Streamers didn't use their influence w/ Bungie to say "let's make sure to not leave out the players that don't have 6-8 hours each day for playing games." Streamers took a leap of faith and succeeded, good on them and all props due... But they aren't the majority, they're the minority; most of us have obligations beyond and saying "This game isn't for you" is not a valid response as I'm sure Bungie would disagree (wanting money they way companies do) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry for the long reply but: Nobody is asking for all the progress; what they're asking for is REASONABLE progress. MOST of us have jobs or school, family, etc. You've got a pretty big hardon for streamers and have at it. I can respect the drive to take a leap of faith on oneself like that and if it works/worked for them then go, go! HOWEVER. They are not the norm; they are not the majority of people that play this game. The majority are people with lives, jobs, families, etc. We shouldn't have to put in 40+ additional hours a week to get out of a game that we love (or want to love desperately). That is the point you seem to have issue seeing: We want progress; not the same kind of progress as people who can dedicate their lives to playing games as they'll naturally have more, but we want SOME REASONABLE progress. As it stands, it is not currently reasonable. Also, you're advocating that they can dedicate themselves fully to playing games all day (I know, I know; a lot more goes into it than just that) and that we should just dedicate more time and get over it... But it goes both ways; perhaps when commenting and advocating for more of a slog the streamers giving feedback to Bungie could have thought/said "Gee, I know I have been fortunate enough to make my passion my life, but most people can't do that with video games; hell, I know how difficult it was for me! Hey Bungie, let's make sure to keep the people in mind that can't (for one reason or another) afford to spend 6 or 8 hours a day to enjoy your product." The salt with streamers and youtubers and the like is because Bungie took their word as gospel (or seem to have) on some of the key things that draw players and locked a lot of it behind an exhausting slog of countless hours for only a slim chance at said draw. THAT is why there is salt about the streamers and youtubers that advocated for the slog.

I have 2 friends that play once or twice a week for 2 hours, and they both are making reasonable progress in the game. Every week they go up about 10 light levels so I am going to down vote you when it comes down to you don't feel like you are making progress because you aren't rocketing towards the power cap like you want to.

Editado por Dullahan: 10/25/2018 1:23:40 PMI wasn't saying I felt that way about light level; I was explaining their frustration and outlook to someone that didn't seem to be understanding or hearing it due to a lack of explanation on the OP's part. Also, the goal I was referring to (and my feelings on the matter) wasn't just light level; it included the exotics that people want, events, etc... locked behind artificial grind of 100% RNG rather than challenging content. Personal note: I'm sitting happy at 596. I couldn't care less about power cap; never have, really. Also worth noting, the power cap is still easier to hit now than it used to be.

I don't expect everyone to play as much as me. That's a silly thought you've come up with. I just know that there is a way to make this game work for everyone. Whether it be getting rid of seasons and timed quests (redrix, lunas, seasonal weapons, etc.) and let the people that don't have time to play get every gun this game has to offer at their own pace. What's the harm in that? While still unlocking enough content for the people that play every week. I think making the quests less tedious and more difficult could help Destiny as well.
