1 Respuesta"People who are in the public eye aren't allowed to have opinions." That's what I got out of this. Do we categorize everyone by their career? "Freight worker for WalMart has meltdown over Kavanaugh" Weird how some people will put more weight on one than the other.

Editado por Uncanny_Vale: 10/8/2018 9:27:53 PMI think I’ve figured out how this contemporary politics thingy works: 1. Liberal/conservative posts on social media. 2. Different liberal/conservative gets triggered by post and reposts it saying ”REEEEEE LOOK AT WHAT THIS TRIGGERED LIBERAL/CONSERVATIVE SAID”. 3. Reposted post then causes new wave of liberal/conservative triggering. 4. Repeat step one.

A bit melodramatic, but I don't see an issue here. I'm not sure we want to set a standard where regular people risk losing their jobs for voicing their personal political views on social media. I know that we've seen twitter mobs attack over similar situations, but those were celebrities and even though I don't like the idea of firing people for voicing their views, they'll be alright because they're rich and average joe wont.

21 RespuestasFor every Liberal I see REEEing about Kavanaugh, I see hundreds of Conservatives REEEing about that one Liberal. If only we could power our world on salt! If only McDonald's would learn of salt and actually put the stuff on my damned fries! See that's the real issue that no one seems to talk about nowadays, the service and quality at fast food joints is at an all time low and I, for one, am upset about it.

Google is extremely biased

Editado por CoolHandLuke04: 10/8/2018 7:01:12 PMWhen my wife expresses her incredulity or anger at some of these kinds of responses, I just shrug and tell her “When you start understanding these folks, this kind of stuff won’t surprise you.” So par for the course if you ask me.

Well, that was a pretty dramatic response.

Editado por TheArtist: 10/8/2018 5:44:20 PM1. So what? 2. Last time I checked there was a First Amendment so the guy had a right to say what he did. 3. Last time I checked, Google was a coporation and is entitled to have----or not have---their views on this matter. Remember Citizen's United?? 4. So this is between the guy...and his employer....whether they have a problem with him engaging in his constitutionally-protected right to free speech. If they do....he'll be out of a job. If they don't----and given that Google is based in San Francisco (IIRC) and most people who work there will either have similar views...... ....or even saltier.... ...odd are he'll get a smack on the wrist, told to cool it on Twitter for while, and life will move on. TLDR: Hurr Durr. Google isn't under any obligation to be "objective". He was free to say what he wanted. Google is free to do (or not do) whatever they please in response to it. End of story. If you dont' like it, don't use Google. Problem solved.

An individual having their own political views. No -blam!-ing way.

7 RespuestasI love when corporations help collectivist like me, it's hilarious that they don't realize they're screwing themselves out of power. Or maybe, they've become collectivist themselves, and truly want to give up the power they've gotten.
