Eliksni appreciation post
let us appreciate our 4 armed friends/foes for we have killed and made friends with them.

Also because I didn't say it in my other post, I've been ready for negotiating peace forever! What if the traveler left the Eliksni on purpose to get them to come to out system because only together could we defeat the real, yet unknown threats. Even without that bit of stipulation, I believe we would've ended up the same as the Eliksni and that the traveler only stayed with Humanity due to circumstances out of it's control (My favorite theory is that Rasputin attacked and disabled it, and since it was now immobile it did the only thing it could to defend itself from the darkness, make guardians and go dormant) I'm ready for the light to be brought back to the Eliksni, and maybe even have them as a species choice (with some editing) for guardians. Or at the very least, have House Judgement (or house traveler) for Faction Rally! Guardian will carry Judgment banner, yessss?

4 RespuestasI finally found all the lore for Variks. I am beyond confused. Partly because I read everything out of order (Am I the only one who hates the lore viewer layout in game?) I'm gonna ask some questions and someone please answer them [spoiler] If these are answered in the new raid in some form you can leave me in the dark. 1.) Has Variks been corrupted with the same affliction the Prince suffers, of Riven's doing? He speaks of expecting visions of Mara, and there's the entirety of the Unknown Space entry that sets my mind the the worst, especially since Variks is one of my favorite characters. 2.) This builds off the top one. Variks staged the breakout?! The ending of Where Loyalty Lies makes me think it's a distraction but the earlier parts make me think it's influenced by Riven taken majik. And the worst of both worlds thought, if Variks IS corrupted by Riven, what if the breakout of the Scorn was a distraction to corrupt the wider Eliksni through Variks.[/spoiler] Now assuming I'm wrong on both of these and the House of Judgement is of Variks own free will with no hatred towards the city, heres an idea For the Faction rally, add House Judgement as a fourth faction, with an envoy hiding in some corner of the tower. Can even add some lore about it being a... test... to see likeliness of guardian cooperation. Whew thats a lot of text.

1 RespuestaHere, here!! Even in my first days in the cosmodrome i came to respect their tattered nobility and honor. Variks proved the loyalty and morality of the eliksni. Spider proves the reasonableness of the eliksni (to a degree lol). And Mithrax shows the open-mindedness, faith, and potential friendship of the eliksni. Like Variks once told me: "we are friends now, yes?"

7 RespuestasIt's come to the point where I hate having to kill fallen. I feel like a murderer as they are the reflection of us. We could've easily become like them, roaming the universe as pirates and scavengers. I think if the destruction at the reef never happened, things would be just that.

1 RespuestaI’ve had a great respect for the Eliksni ever since house of Wolves. I often try to avoid them rather than kill them where able and am not ashamed to say I’ve memorised the Eliksni language as translated by Sarsion. Eliksni shar! Zer bo zes en hus!

They aren’t evil, they’re the equivalent of humanity if the Traveler has chosen to abandon them , and are clearly humanity’s best hope when it comes to making an alliance to defeat the darkness. We should call a truce, befriend them, share knowledge and resources, and give them a permanent home living among us.

14 RespuestasDigging into their lore I have really come to respect them. They are a reflection of our potential future. Listen to how this sounds: Eliksni come to live under the traveler and live happily. The traveler leaves Oryx and thedarkness come and destroy everything. Eliksni become space pirates, looking for refuge and a slim chance of survival. Eliksni Wonder into our solarsystem. Ghaul comes and forces all the eliksni under one house, primarily residing on earth. NOW OUR SIDE OF THE STORY Traveler comes to humanity everybody is happy and strong darkness comes, and traveler tries to leave, but (theioreticaly) is shot by rasputin so that it has to stay and defend humanity. Humans are left crippled, and have to all live in the last city. Ghaul comes and takes away our light, and all the guardians are stuck on earth, in the EDZ in one location. BUUUUT, unlike the eliksni, we have Bungie, money, and "Space Magic", as well as a homalsexual scientist and a russian robot and an angry swarm of frozen bugs.

5 RespuestasI would hug some Eliksni just to show them sympathy that they need. I wish we had some Warlock diplomat, that could reach out to Mithrax and make a deal with her for a peaceful alliance between us and her race. Let's share the Earth and protect it together!

4 RespuestasThe regular ones on the Tangled Shore irritate me. There are Scorn almost everywhere, and I'm quite sure some of them know about the Spider and his associates. But sure, go ahead and try to kill Guardians on sight. It makes me feel bad when killing Fallen on the Shore. I hate the Scorn much more. The remaining Cabal apparently don't follow Calus, so I don't mind eliminating them. Here's to hope Variks, Mithrax or Spider will forge a big alliance and make peace. At least with most of the Fallen. They'll never vanish as an enemy race I think.

The problem is unfortunately in the past after the collapse, they try to do the same to us. I am not saying the blame falls on the species itself, but who was leading them at the time. Back then there was no option for diplomacy, due to the leaders of the fallen back then who would just wanted to "take back what is ours and to hell with humans". Which led to all of the attacks to the city. Now I think since those leaders are now long gone or dead, it is possible for peace. But before then it wasn't our fault to retaliate like we did and kill the fallen for our own survive.
