The new system requires you to actually use your brain! What a concept!? Only infuse what is necessary for you (You’re a liar if you think every item you currently have is necessary btw). Items that sit in your vault do not need to be infused right now this very instant. This new infusion system does not cater to the casual crowd and I believe that is a GOOD thing. Bungie needed a way to separate the casual players that abandoned the game for months claiming they’d be gone for good just to show up when a new DLC launches from the hobbyists, hardcore, and dedicated players. Bungie needed to bring back that feeling of accomplishment when you achieve something that is important to you.
...And remember millenials, “You can’t always get what you want.” 😘

I agree, I completed the campaign with just blues! screw the stats on the armor or weapon at the time, just played on what I had till I got higher and higher. was bloody nice not being able to stick to a weapon, I made a deal with myself. every time I pick up a new weapon of any type, that is what I was going to play with. WITH the exception of a Purple Crucible Sniper I dropped from my clan, which dropped at 503 when I was 432, it boosted me a bit. was a lovely time. now I have all purples and I infused 3 pieces my frosties. my Cayde Cloak. and my Crimson. haven't spent a resource since.
-
Yup, made this mistake. Burned through all my master work cores and a good portion of my legendary shards as well as 100k worth of glimmer. I should have waited until I hit the soft level cap of 500.
-
This new infusion system caters to the lucky and those with infinite time on their hands. At least get rid of the masterwork requirement it’s complete bullshit
-
2 RespuestasJust infused all my old legendary gear. Let’s just say I went from about 2,600 legendary shards to 620
-
3 RespuestasWow, I found the only person that would defend the new infusion system. Such a rare and stupid creature. Look at him in his natural habitat, the destiny forums, spreading his toxicity.
-
1 RespuestaRequire more materials for infusion? Cool with me, infusion was way too easy before. 25 planetary materials for each infusion? Eeehhhhhhhh... Pushing it a bit with that one. 15 would have been the sweet spot. Masterwork cores required for non-masterworked infusion? Epic fall. Self-explanatory. Only glimmer required for each infusion of same weapon? Genius. Some hit, some miss. Classic Bungie.

Infusion worked just fine in Year 3, Mr. Elitist. It didn't need to be changed at all.
-
Sorry, you were kind of making a good point, but then you used millenials, hardcore, and dedicated players vs casuals on the same post and ended up sounding like you were whining about how you need to validate yourself over the time you spend playing. And yes, you don't need to infuse everything. and i do agree with high costs for infusing, but the masterworks core cost for it is a bit of a abuse.
-
Wish I could infuse my big fat _____ into the side of a _____ year old man.

58 RespuestasDon't drag millenials when Baby Boomers invented "the customer is always right," and Gen X gave us, "May I speak with your manager" moms. Some bullshit you're spewing. This infusion system doesn't require more brain use than any previous infusion system. The original only granted you a portion of the higher items' power level. Let's stop being pretentious here. The MW core requirement is a bad move on their part, and it does need to change in the future in some way. It's far too restrictive and inhibits your ability to really choose what armor and weapons you want to have on you, and no, I'm not talking about year 1 weapons. Some poor soul has been stuck with a bad loadout, and that's not cool.
-
Clearly this was not implemented to make us “use our brains”. This was to slow our progress and artificially add more play time.

1 RespuestaEditado por frankhail306: 9/7/2018 11:42:33 PMI cannot decide what to infuse first because right now I'm 511 on my main character and I'm thinking "chaperone or ace of spades?" Both are super fun guns to me and I'm more a pve person. I dunno which to infuse first because I like both and they're super fun guns to me. Forgot to mention I'm just grabbing higher level gear and once I get to level 600 gear I'm infusing that into the main armor I like.

10 RespuestasI love your last sentence. I work with Millennials quite a bit. It's amazing to see how entitled they think they are.
-
6 RespuestasTop tip I’ve realised, don’t know if anyone has mentioned it. Just keep reacquiring your exotics from collections instead of infusing. Only wastes about 2 legendary shards 🤷♂️
-
True. Just rock the blue gear till you get some good legendary gear.
-
This is how destiny was when it first came out so it’s nothing new to most of us
-
1 RespuestaInfusion yes does make you think however I disagree with Bungie's decision to make legendary gear that's not masterworked cost masterwork cores. Legendary gear should only cost masterwork cores if your upgrading the tier on a masterwork weapon or armor. In my personal opinion that was a bad decision on Bungie's part

Editado por EVIL VENOM: 9/7/2018 11:58:36 PMI never infuse nothing in the beginning I just wear blues I’m high enough to wear the proper gear that I want then I start leveling

2 RespuestasEditado por P3rfectEnemy: 9/7/2018 10:37:30 PMMy thoughts on this, not that it means much really. Note that I am fine with this change, fully support it! I don’t mind the infusion. Make us pick and choose wisely what and when to infuse! If you are patient and keep duplicates of a weapon you KNOW you want, it costs only glimmer! Done, no issues. Now supporting the haters. People have blasted year 1 as just mediocre at best. Bungie says they listened to the players, yet they role out using master cores for infusion and truly thought people would not care? Do ANY real gamers work at Bungie? Who made this call? They had to know this was going to piss off many. I get it isn’t too bad if you brain even a little bit, but this call in the midst of what is supposed to be a revival of D2 is the only black eye this DLC has truly taken. Bungo, THINK before you make an item that has next to nothing to do with an activity a big part of it with little warning. I get it, many get it, you want us to choose wisely. Don’t act surprised people are mad. If you all didn’t notice, this issue may be addressed soon: https://us.blastingpop.com/gaming/2018/09/destiny-2-masterwork-core-infusion-irks-players-bungie-to-address-the-issue-002708167.html

1 RespuestaEditado por Hoops: 9/7/2018 9:23:47 PMGood post. Although if you look up the definition of millenials you might find that it includes you. Anyone born between 1981 and 1996 is a millenial...
-
I'm a millennial and I enjoy the new systems. Infusing now requires me to make a choice and not just pump gun A into gun B without zero though of cost. Game has some depth in choice and really you shouldn't just be pumping up everything anyways. There are so many good weapons in Forsaken its stupid. I'm using more new weapons than anythign old currently and they feel so good with the new Mod system. Leave the systems as they are. These changes were made to make the game an investment again and thats fantastic. Prior to the Forsaken updates nothing in this game mattered as it was all handed to you.

Editado por mac626: 9/7/2018 9:36:49 PMI need to infuse, how do you rank up And with the way they did the material costs , you have to spend two days To find the easy materials and who know how long for the hard ones to get. It’s another way for bungo to get you to play longer, that’s all it is. I hope I can get this done before division 2 comes out.

3 RespuestasEditado por countycheese770: 9/8/2018 6:56:14 AMI infused better devils, Whisper, Wardcliff and Sleeper. Everything else can wait. But those 4, kind of a necessity to me. As far as everything goes, maybe eventually or as the burns change for strikes but not in a hurry.
-
2 RespuestasI'm totally fine with planetary materials being required for armor upgrades again. I am a little annoyed at the requirement of masterwork cores for upgrading non-masterwork items. Especially considering (to my knowledge) the only way to get them is to luck into a masterworked item and break it down.

1 RespuestaI infused my Nike shoes into my adidas.
