So they are going to ban cheaters, that fine with me because I don’t cheat so hahahahahahaha to all the scrubs who do cheat! I legit got ddos in first game of comp after coming back to this game, up 3 - 0 in survival and then what do you know return to orbit?

Are you capable of reading? Like, at all? This thread has nothing to do with people who DDoS'd. This is about two teams specifically matching together and queue dodging. Literally 0 outside interference whatsoever.

You read how long the bans would be, and for what... right? Doing that once might get you banned from PvP for a bit at the most.

But in the grand scheme of things did it harm the game? Did it harm other players? Did it somehow undermine the accomplishments of those who actually earned it? Is retroactively updating a ToS to ban people who did not actually break the ToS necessary? The answer to all of that is a resounding no. The point of this thread, and what people are saying, is that people who simply cheesed Claymore/Legend/what have you, who mind you used no external software or modification or network manipulation, just the features of the videogame itself, should not be put in the same boat for punishment as people who are literally DDoS'ing, hacking, and modifying the game.

They didn't go back and change to ToS tmk. They just didn't tell people they'd be banned. Best way to get the constant cheaters gone. If you've exploited once or twice it probably won't matter. Only if you've done it alot

Cheese is cheese, it undermines all who got the gun and made it harder for others to get, it also impacts the amount of people who want to play the game mode as well.

It doesn't undermine it at all. If someone earned by grinding ranked then that's it. No one can take that achievement away from them. They know what they did, as do the people who cheese glory. If your ingame achievement is somehow completely ruined by unrelated people doing an unrelated thing that you'll never meet ingame then that's on you. These people who were cheesing comp would have never touched comp or were already playing comp to begin with so no, it isn't impacting the amount of people wanting to play. And these people only did it so they wouldn't have to do that Broadsword quest.

You’re funny, do you think if the game mode wasn’t rife with cheats they would be doing this? They want more people to try comp but it already has a stigma for cheats, it has impacted the playlist in a massive way. I say swing the banhammer away with fury

What people are arguing is that people who are isolated cheesing glory with nothing but the game's own features should not be put in the same boat as people with malicious intent using outside interference to destroy people's comp experience. Crucible restriction? Sure. They did something morally -blam!-ed. Please use your eyes and read the OP's words.

Yeah cheating is cheating breh, however you do it, it may be a “cheese” but it impacts others which is the underlying point. You sound very concerned about getting banned
