My wife’s Law School loan was $125,000 lol. Only $23,000 to go before we’re all paid up. Both cars paid off, my basses are paid off, hospital bill for the birth of our son is paid... all that’s left is the house.

Editado por Catty_Wampus22: 8/30/2018 3:57:36 AMA large part of that is your wife was working towards a degree she will actually use to make money. But going into debt for a liberal arts degree or something?

Yeah... she’s the smart one. Have no idea what she sees in me lol. I thought I wanted to be a music teacher back in the late nineties. Then I completed a semester of junior college, joined a band during the summer, dropped out of college after 2 weeks, became a massive pot head, got hooked on crank and ice... my 20’s were baaaaaaaaad. But I wised up when I turned 31. Before we got married, I didn’t have bad credit. I had NO credit lol. Shits hard to bounce back from but with a LOT of hard work, and huge amounts of God’s grace, I managed to land a union job and make more as an entry level grunt than I ever would have as a teacher. So yeah, a degree is not always worth it. But if you’re disciplined, hard working, and have the mental fortitude to find a career worth all the debt you’ll go into for said degree, it could be the smartest thing to do.
