Imagine you're sitting in orbit. Unsure of what to do next. Or maybe you're just waiting for your slow ass friends to get online to knock out a raid or nightfall.
You hover over your ship, hit a button, and the screen goes black. Once it comes back you find yourself on the bridge of your darling little vessel.
You look to your left and see a machine that allows you to swap out inventory and grab bounties.
You look to your right and see another machine that allows you to virtually test out weapons and gear.
You go through a short hallway and find yourself looking at a wall of mannequins which are dressed to impress with your armor of choice. The walls are decorated with the spoils of your many victories.
Imagine each ship and how unique the interiors could be. This always seemed like a very easy fix to give ships more meaning in the game. Make it our 'home'.
tl;dr You can go inside of your ship where you can grab bounties, weapons, armor, and test weapons at a virtual gun range. Your fireteam can visit your ship and explore your customized interior. You can show off your armor and weapons to all of your friends.

We should be able to kamikaze the ship into enemies. On a mission. But we have to pay a small fee for a new one.
-
That sounds like an awesome idea! Oh, and with the option to invite other players to your ship, place decorations, and move your ship in orbit. It'd be great. Maybe somebody will make a game like that someday. Oh wait...
-
Didn't even read the tldr, just voted you trash
-
3 RespuestasYou basically just described the orbiter in Warframe. Just as a FYI
-
1 RespuestaI like the idea! But I want to call you a trash person so I will. :D You can't make me say otherwise!
-
Don't get me wrong, you ideas are something many would like, but let's face reality for a change. This is literally the wrong company, anything that has to do with putting real effort into this game will not happen. Especially right now or anytime soon because how far this company has fallen behind. It's not being a "hater, troll etc.." It's just a simple fact that this company is the wrong company for things like this. Seriously, look at the last 4 years how the content in this game hasn't even really change much at all and what effort this company put into this game just this year alone. Somethings over and over and over again. Just once a year some new event and every 2 years an actual unique weapon. Everything else is recycled content, just a change of music and scenery and not much of anything else. Now, if this company didn't lose the key people that made this company who they are and they were still working for Bungie? what I said might have been a different story. Great ideas though.

Would probably get sued by Warframe
-
Walk around in your ship while waiting for matchmaking.
-
Flight simulators are the easiest game mechanics to code... Making a character jump and aim is 10x as difficult...
-
Just put Variks in my ship and ill be happy
-
Nice idea but it will NEVER happen, impossible job and too much resources for bungie to do.
-
You do realize our ships only have simple cockpits right. We dont have ships large enough for what you are hoping for
-
Editado por Zanithos: 8/1/2018 5:56:10 PM> "walk around in your spaceship" > Tfw more than 90% of the ships are single-seat short-range jumpships, and the ones that do have the potential to hold seats in the back (the ones that look like tower transports) are essentially just space blackhawk helecopters. I would definitely like some form of benefit to having a ship, but then again, it's basically just our menu and loading screen art. You could definitely still put in a lot of the stuff you're talking about by adding a first person mode in the cockpit with different holographic screens for each menu, like they have in Elite Dangerous. That would be pretty cool, as well as immersive.
On that note, first person mode in the tower when?
The rest of your idea could be instituted in the form of personal quarters in the tower, or even some form of barracks, where we would have access to bounties, the vault, a firing range, etc. I like the general idea, but shoving it all into a spaceship the same size as a fighter jet is a bit much. I'd rather not fold spacetime just so that I can have a Warframe orbiter (which is also far too small to fit all that interior space) in Destiny.

Id much prefer that, if they did anything, theyd have some kind if perks you could activate ala summoning your sparrow. Pull out your ghost and hold "blank" to transmat heavy ammo, or grant a brief, small overshield or things like that. Exotic ships could do crazier things like transmat a bomb you could carry and throw at baddies like those hive baseballs on the Strange Terrain strike. All on a long cooldown and disabled in crucible of course.
-
I like the last option. It means we're kin!
-
Love it...just for bounties. You have no idea how often I forget them
-
Least we could do is move the ship around the screen while sitting in orbit
-
Paint some flames on it! Would be so quick you wouldn’t need a loading screen
-
I wumould rather have more content than a warframe ship.
-
1 RespuestaWarframe did it first
-
Pretty sure they either cant make ships more useful, or they havent agreed on how to monetize them yet.
-
Love it. Will never happen. Content is hard.
-
2 RespuestasI mean it sounds great. But it's been four years, the limitations of this game engine, have been showing for quite some time now. It's not that it's too hard to code, it's that it's impossible to code, on what is a very limited engine. Thanks I've been bungie support, bringing joyous news to bungie.net since 2001.
-
1 RespuestaIt'll give us something to do with my forever max glimmer....spend it on how the inside of our ships look. Btw still don't understand why there's a glimmer cap

Editado por SpicyCurryO_O: 8/1/2018 11:12:55 AMHow about instead a fricking Vehicle PvE mode?! Would love that! The Drake is fun! Guardians: Turret Drake Sparrow SHIP Orbital Strike from Tower (if on Earth) or use Rasputin because he’s ally Regular weapons Enemies: Cabal- Interceptors, Threshers, Ground Troops (Mission could be storm a Cabal Command Center) Fallen- Skiffs, Pike/Heavy Pike, Walker, Ground Troops (Protect The Tower Walls from a Fallen invasion) Hive- Tomb Ships, Shriekers, Wizards, Ground Troops + Taken support (Storm the Dreadnought, first get through outer defensives using ships, then enter with ground vehicles/transportation) Vex-????? There could be like 12 Guardians doing this activity, with matchmaking. Unique rewards like customization and parts for ships and other vehicles (Would make Amanda Holiday useful), Enemy themed armor, exotics, specific bounties for this activity.

1 RespuestaYeah, Warframe. They are adding spaceship battles later this year I think also.
