Seriously Bungie, just remove the cabal event
There’s no reason for the cabal event to even be there. There are plenty of areas that only have 1 public event spawn, so why should the Lost Oasis be any different? I’ve been trying to help people get the gun since noon. It’s now 6 and I’ve helped 1 group today because there were barely any taken events. Just remove the cabal and it’s problem solved.

Now, we can't do that. How can we create better guardians by deleting something that's gonna make you work for it? It was so hard for me at first but after getting tired of dying over and over again...what do ya know?? I got better. :)

2 RespuestasI'm starting to think it's rigged and intentional. Sorry not sorry. Had this issue in D1 with the Sleeper and the Warsat public events, couldn't find rare fusion rifles in D1 when I needed them for Pocket Infinity; there's probably more instances but basically stuff in Destiny is plentiful until you need it for an exotic quest or need to reach some sort of requirement. I used to get taken blight ALL THE TIME until the Whisper came out. Trust me, it's intentional and a way to stretch out play time and bring players back. The longer you stay on Io the more bored you'll be, and you'll consider doing other stuff in the game while you wait. It's rigged to make you play more.

2 RespuestasBungie shouldn’t remove the cabal event, having a variety is good and the fact that the area doesn’t always give you the event you need is probably part of the reason they chose it in the first place. Instead I think they need to find a way to put safeguards in place to keep these long one sided event spawns from happening. I think that with their being two events it should start out at 50/50 chance for either event to spawn and after the first event it should go to 60/40 in favor of the event that hasn’t spawned. If the same event spawns change it to 70/30, 80/20, 90/10 and finally 100/0 for each subsequent occurrence of the same event so neither event can possibly spawn more than 5 times in a row. If this idea doesn’t appeal to someone keep it rng and don’t add chances to the event but add a system that counts change concurrent event and after say 3 to 5 in a row with rng turn the rng off and guarantee the other event spawn next time. It wouldn’t feel nearly as bad with a system like one of those in place.

5 RespuestasI don't think it should be removed. However I wish Bungie would stop lying to people, and also stop trying to get their player numbers up by doing the following. The taken event spawned 1.4times per hour during the week. However over the weekend, it spawned 0.2 times per hour. Also, between the hours of 11pm UK time on Sunday, and 5:30am UK Time on Monday, the taken event did not spawn once. This flies in the face of their claim that it spawns 50% of the time on their simulations. It is also clear evidence of them lying again, to force people to play longer. Again, as with the XP throttling etc, Bungie is just liars.

Timed events in D1 just popped up on the map as selectable, not sure why they chose to add RNG to them in D2

How else are they going to get the player numbers up? It looks good when people sit around in the public spaces for hours doing nothing. Wow, look at all the players online... If you want to keep laying D2 then I suggest getting an extra xbox and TV so you can play other games while you are waiting. I play games on my laptop. So much wasted time on Destiny waiting to spawn into a PVP matched or public events to spaw or putting together an EP team to sit around and collect shaders and not get weapons to drop. They should have added a key to unlock the public event that you want. Run a patrol, kill a high-value target, etc. to get materials to build a key, use the key to unlock the event you want to do.

3 RespuestasJust to add to this insanity of Cabal events. Streamer SayNoToRage did the last 6 hours trying to help with viewers with normal. 26 Cabal events in row! At 1:05 eastern the first event after its gone a Blight shows up and 4 times after in row! Good Job Bungie? NOT! The probability of 50/50 event occurring 26 times in a row is one in 33,500,000 ! Wow to say "no bug" in the weekly? So you are saying its programmed to do this then!? WOW! He tweeted the clip after the reset. Wow your lack of concern and silence on this is appalling! I guess we all started "Forsaken" in July!

2 RespuestasRng in this game is broken, no strike catalysts for me since the Warmind expansion started. No huckleberry catalyst still. Barely any strike exclusive drops or escalation protocol drops. Destiny one never felt this frustrating. Now Bungie introduces an exotic quest which is based on getting a specific public event to spawn. 4-5hours before the reset today not one appeared. 4-5 hours spent looking at a map of Io. Bungie, please tell me what happened to respecting our time.

There are 3 places the taken event could spawn and only 1 where the cabal could spawn yet rng is making it only spawn the cabal event!! This is complete BS and obviously how bungie have planned it to make sure they have player figures up!! Even RNG would not make 22 cabal events spawn in a row! Pathetic how bungie think we are that stupid!!

I am sure they could rework the random generator so that it tracks the number of Cabal events so that after 3 in a row it spawns the Blight. But according to them its not broken. So why fix it.

Repeating Public Events is and has been a global issue for some time, the Whisper quest has just brought it to light. Havin’ said that, while I don’t think gettin’ rid of the Cabal PE is a proper solution, it is a short-term fix that probably should be done. Now, if I were to suggest a long-term fix, putting the quest on the map for those who’ve found it might be the best solution. I know many will say that shouldn’t be the case but if you think RNG on a PE is the proper way to make the game more “exciting” or obtaining the Whisper “more meaningful” then we clearly have different ideas of how game mechanics should work.
