Get over it (solstice armour requirments)
Just like good old Destiny 1 bungie are trying to reintroduce grind and loot that is hard to get so it feels more valuable. Stop griping and whining that you cant get it because its locked behind a single prestige leviathan clear. Look. I’m a solo player and i’ve never done prestige but I’m sure as blam gunna get my ass on LFG and find a team to do the SINGLE. Run that I need
People who campaign for this ease of access are the reason that games loot feels lackluster because it was all just too damn easy and they say its the last straw bungie runined the game lol does everyone remember the touch of malice or dare I say it Outbreak prime the single hardest quest in d1 or what about the OG thorn quest. All content designed to be meaningful because it took graft to get there so when you got it it felt real good
:TLDR stop whining about solstice armour requirments and get on LFG. Get over it

Theres a dofference though between a good raid and raids that are so mechanic heavy that theu restrict you so much on top of the fact that if even one person makes the smallest mistake it more than likely means a whole team wipe. VOG was fun a mechanical. Crotas end was fun and mechanical. Prison was fun and mechanical. Kings fall was fun and mechanical and so was wrath of the machine. Eat of worlds and all the raid lairs are just mechanical. The D2 raids are hard but not because they are well designed. The are hard because they are unforgiving and thats just not good game design. When a plauer goes into a raid yes you have to place barriers of completion but those barriers have to have multiple ways of getting around them not just one. When people look back at every raid i can almost garantee that no one will say eater of worlds or any raid lair was good or the best by comparison. I dont want things for no effort but i would at least like it if they didnt force me to play the worst parts of D2 just to get something that cant be infused.

Like the items you mentioned from Vanilla they were tough to get but they were worth it, nothing in Destiny 2 feels worth it. I'm voting with my feet and have decided to give up on Destiny 2, I loved Vanilla, even for it faults after all it did get better and Destiny 2 I thought would've taken all that and made it better again, how f*cking wrong was I. I've tried to be patient with Destiny 2 but I've had enough, the hype for Forsaken is here and the last 9 months of indifferent game play, loot, and content has been forgotten. We deserve everything we get.

2 RespuestasThis entire discussion shows me 1 thing very clearly. This community is a bunch of retards that cant make or want friends. Its been a year people. If you still havent been able to make a raid group or join a clan that hosts raids then you kinda want to move to a different game. This game, and D1 for that matter, is about team based activity’s. Also why its a fully online game as you even meet people in patrols. End-game activity’s are the hardest encounters in this game, so logical that the best rewards come from there. If patrol drops the same rewards, why should people bother with raids? Think about that before you cry.

My main question is, are these things retroactive? Like if i have a prestige clear am i already done? And if i have already reset my valour twice am i done with that? I hope that is the case for tha valour at least, i dont care for PvP but already reset that thing twice, i dont care to go for a third.

LFG? Well, if you're in the US and you get one guy from Europe expect to spend a couple more hours (especially at Calus) cuz the glitches are gonna get real. Lately, even PvE content is laggy as fu*k. A lot of it certainly has to do with the people I play with (they are not that close). Bungie never takes that into consideration. I'd probably have to move 2000 miles south to do a Prestige Leviathan.

None. No clue. Bungie is using the raid as a means to pad out a severe lack of creativity and content. Taking random, and I do mean random items and making them raid drops is about as lazy as lazy can be when it comes to development. And the fact that people don't get this is just kind of silly. They are screwing over the raid players as well LOL. Rather than create activity specific content, they are spreading normal game content around so that there is an RNG reason to do group activities. So the multitude of people who don't read the forums or -blam!-ing patch notes are going to start doing the solstace quests. Get all of their gear, then, for some, as they go to finish it off, they are going to find out that, welp "-blam!- you", if you want to finish all of the stuff for the event, even though none of it was part of the 99% of the quest you have done so far, you have to grind out raid content. Tell you what. If you don't PvP, set a challenge for yourself to reach top rank valor before you equip the next 400 power piece of raid gear you get. Or pick whatever activity you don't do for whatever reason and run it 50-100 times before you can use that gear. For people who don't raid, that is what mixing and matching requirements is like.

I agree with everything you said, except that malice and outbreak prime were easy. Your point though is bang on. Harder tasks and meaningful rewards. Can’t stand the constant participation awards being handed out.

I'm surprised people aren't more irritated at the crucible rank, lol. Prestige levi was rough early on but after all the updates and new guns/armour I'd imagine it'd be a fair bit easier. (I'm one of the fools who ran prestige just for the armour. Dam was that rough in vanilla)

It’s simple. Light level means....nothing. So have gear that goes to 400, but make prestige raid gear have bonus effects. Everyone gets to be a meaningless number & people who do the hard raid get a pretty bow. Now let’s move onto September, where everything we’ve done prior will be meaningless again!

Yeah, felt great acquiring/completing Thorn in Vanilla D1, just for Bungie to nerf it because of some whining cnut in Crucible Too much of this game has been ruined by nerfing, most of that has come from PvP - Bungle listening to the wrong section of the player base

Raid gear should be Raid rewards completely agree with you! Time gated content, bigger HP bar NPC's, stupid modifiers and super low drop rate RNG is not what I call grind.... grind is something you to do achieve something RNG is just luck the RatKing quest is grind (yes its easy but concept is what refering too so could be harder) Event rewards that are meant for everyone should not be behind Raids an Event is not endgame content its a timed event... if the event was on all the time fine stick things behind Raids and trials.
