Hmmm, funny. I never ran SOS until last week. I never finished until this Tuesday. It was really hard, ya know, to make an LFG post looking for “everybody welcome” and suddenly I had a fireteam of all newbies who made it to the boss all by ourselves........ This week I looked for a post “everybody welcome”, and whaddua know?!? I found a team to beat it with..... oh, and then I LFG’d again on Wednesday and found a group of newbies and we beat the whole raid in one go..... amazing when you ACTUALLY PUT EFFORT INTO FINDING THESE THINGS...... 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐

Stop complaining. Plenty of teams don't ask for clears and it takes very little effort to find one. I recently did my first Spire of Stars and it was fine, just watch videos beforehand and be honest if you don't understand something.

Cry to your momma or better yet put on your big boy pants and make your own group.

The worst thing is that you've never made the effort to join a decent clan. Sounds like your trying to play a multiplayer game solo. Majority of people have had 10 months to find a decent place to call home and are yet to do so. I would suggest finding a decent clan and getting them to help you. If they do help you make sure you repay the favour and help other newcomers in return. Too many people are all about taking

I noticed that the actual problem is that people with no clears want a cary, they dont want to work for it... I make a post "fresh sos, lf5 370+ first timers, be able to listen" i get maby 2 responses... the moment i add word CARY "fresh sos cary, lf5 370+ first timers, be able to listen" the notification blinks for 20 minutes none stop.... You cant blame experienced people that want to do a fast run. Not every one has 2 to 3 hours of time to waste. Ps im on 33 clears and 65shurpas (i enjoy bashing my head into the wall)

The problem w the raids is that they are entirely too mechanics focused. W heavy mechanics people get tired of explaining them and waiting for the lightbulb to turn on for the sherpa. I have done 90+ complete leviathans (3 being prestige to get the armor sets), 10 EoW, and ZERO SoS. I'm done w the over mechanics BS. I know I wont be doing Spire or either season 1 prestige NF...errrrr... raid next week. The leviathan raid and lairs is a horrible idea. If Forsaken resembles ANYTHING like Leviathan, I'm done w Destiny for good. Sorry for ur luck pal. I really am. But dont blame the players because some douchebag thought it would be a great idea for players to throw a gayass ball around for 30 minutes.

Haven’t tried SoS yet as not high enough. But what I did to clear leviathan a few times and EoW was use the 100.io start my own game say Friday evening with looking for players to run through all welcome some where new others have cleared before and we beat it after 3 hours. Never met one dick or elitist with the 100.io try it.

You need to tell them, some groups will be ok some won’t want you. Have you learnt the mechanics on YouTube? It’s mechanic heavy so I’d imagine most people would want you to at least know what to expect. There’s plenty posts on lfg if people asking for a guide on this one too, join those. Or make one.

THEN MAKE YOUR OWN

Make your own post. Try it and wipe for hours on end. Get the experience. Join groups that ask for conpletetions, tell them you know what You're doing. Prove it. Get completion

It's easily the most complicated raid so far, so I understand why people aren't quick to take first timers.

I am not sure what platform you are on but there are a few different options to help you find groups. One being DestinyLFG (website), Looking for Group (on Xbox party app) are two that I mainly use. I have clears on SoS but I do not usually hear people requiring this - and I consider myself a better than average raider. Do the research and continue to be honest in groups. If you are a good player, that will surpass the lack of first time experience.

Ok, so yes I can understand your frustration. Remember that SoS is already hard enough. So you need to find a way to make yourself a desirable teammate. How do you do that? I have two solutions: -Get your light as high as you can and collect the gear people want you to use. I had the same problem with WoTM, I wouldn’t get invited. What did I do? I collected the guns I needed, (like that Devils Dawn sniper from the strike and Ghjallarhorn and etc). and was a 394 entering the normal mode raid. Which is ok... I then was able to learn the mechanics I didn’t fully understand and then venture into hardmode and etc. You’ve clearly already done this. A 385 arcstrider hunter with the Ikelos Shotgun and most other useful guns is going to help make his way into the team. Make sure people know that you’ve got the materials and the light they are looking for. -Learn/get a gist for the mechanics before going into the raid. This is a killer. If you know what to do, it will probably get you a spot on the team. When they ask, say, “I’ve never completed it, but I’m a 385 arcstrider with the Ikelos shotgun, crimson, and (any other useful weapons), and I know what to do. How do you learn the mechanics? Guides. People often trash them, but they work. You can ask any minor questions in game, but going in with a gist is gonna keep you in the fireteam. If take a couple of tips, you’ll have the desirable gear, light, and knowledge on the SoS, and I assure you you’ll get it done. Remember hat some people are gonna be jerks anyways, but don’t let that bug you down. You can do it. Full faith. D1 was my first FPS game. And I was terrible at first. But I worked my way up, and now I’ve got at least 160 raid completions combined in D1 and D2 and at least 4 flawless D1 trials cards. I’m newer to D2, only about a month or two now, so no flawless cards yet, but I’ve got plenty of experience in all of the raids to confidently say I can definitely do all the encounters in every raid playing any role. Even in SoS, which I am finishing tomorrow morning. If you have any questions about the raid, you can ask me, and I’ll try to explain it to the best of my ability.

I can’t comment on your platform but Xbox currently has lots of noobs lfging for spire of stars. I have over 40 sherpas just going in and playing with people randomly. Additionally, Xbox lfg has a community of people ‘farming’ sherpas usually at night EST that are looking for people with 0 clears (they only help with phase 2 but still) My advice is reply to all posts that don’t explicitly ask for clears, make your own posts, and keep at it. It’s also probably easier if you say you can be a hunter or a warlock because usually lfg groups want hunters the most

Host your own fireteam.

Not everyone wants to teach people how to do one of the most mechanically challenging raids in Destiny. As much as you might like to say you know what to do because of guides and things, there’s a reason you don’t have that emblem. Just keep looking for a group, you’ll find one. I found one only a couple of weeks ago which got me my first SoS completion, and as much as I thought I knew what to do it’s experience that helps, and no emblem means less experience. Crying about being booted from a fireteam won’t benefit you unless you’re looking for other people in a similar situation to relate to your issue and join you for a raid full of people looking to pop their Spire cherry.
