*Cough* 83 second cooldown vs 24 second cooldown and you are more vulnerable and unable to evade in any sense when consuming a grenade that takes about 2 seconds to finish the animation that you could've thrown for damage, but you had to make that sacrifice for health while nothing of the sort is made for wormhusk health...... *Cough* and phoenix dive locks you in a inescapable, long animation with healing that is tied directly to your fps, making it pretty weak on console.

*Cough* Wormhusk dodge can be interrupted with any type of damage instantly stopping the health regen. *Cough*
-
*cough* the devouring warlock will be at low health so you can just easily kill him because he can't fight back. Dodge at least can quickly swing you out of gunfire at a higher chance than a warlock trying to jump out of the way. Wormhusk also gives you a decent, instant boost to health while dodging while devour does not. *Cough*
-
*cough* Place a rift down and wait for said hunter to challenge again *cough* You make it seem like devour is the only way a warlock can heal.
-
*cough* rift has the same 83 second cooldown as a grenade, locks you in place for its animation then locks you in a small circle to receive its healing that won't even let you tank one extra shot of any weapon with more impact than an smg. You also have stay in the rift for 5 seconds, at bare minimum, for the overshield to fully form that isn't as potent as you think it is. Also, you have to be outside of a gunfight or anyone's line of sight to not risk getting gunned down before your animation ends when activating rift. *cough*

And there are many ways to make that grenade recharge take about 20-30 seconds. Or even in 15 seconds if you use the verity's brow.
-
You try easily getting 3 quick, consecutive kills in crucible
-
That is very easy if you get health back every time from devour..... but i was talking about the verity's brow. Energy weapon kills =10 second long faster grenade recharge buff....stacks 3x And at 3 stacks it takes 10 seconds to recharge your grenade WITHOUT mods. And seeing as the graviton is an energy weapon you can get it pretty fast. And you can pair it with devour to get your grenade back in 2 kills .
-
You can also shorten that time with Nazerc's sin. "Void energy weapon kills reduce the cool down of your abilities."
-
Cant stack nazarecks sin with verity's brow ... Both exotics. And verity's brow beats it in every way because it recharges nades in 10 seconds if you have made 3 energy weapon kills. Or grenade back in 3 seconds if you use devour and get 3 kills with energy weapons then....easy in PvE.
-
Editado por Jahvala_: 7/12/2018 12:51:45 AMI don't use warlocks enough to know that that was an exotic sorry lol.
-
No problem. Energy weapon kills recharge your and your allies grenade faster. Stacks 3x....faster recharge lasts 10 seconds....makes a " Luck in The Chamber "sound. From whwt i have seen getting a quick tripple kill with n energy weapon in PvE for a 3 stack makes a nade recharge in 10 seconds.
-
I was talking about Verity's Brow as well, just not coupled with devour. That still requires you to get 2, perfectly timed energy weapon kills right after activating devour to which you still can't use your grenade unless you wanna shaft yourself from any devour benefits. Wormhusk is just a 24-12 second get out of jail free card that requires no extra thought or effort.
-
Wormhusk is not a get out of jail free card. You can only use it while not being shot at or you waste the perk....unlike devour wich can be used at any time to get full health.
-
People can shoot you while devouring too y'know. It has a 2~ second animation where you're just kinda unable to do anything. At least dodge can help you get away from gunfire.
-
So can blink/barricade/titan skate/warlock skate
-
But you can't devour when doing any of that. It cancels the animation. Checkmate Randman
-
You can devour while warlock skating. Check and mate.
-
You can use glide while devouring, but you can't skate. I just did some simple comparisons in the EDZ and using the warlock non-sprint skate is a little slower and a bit more tedious than a normal sprint. Even then, you have to activate glide AFTER the devour animation begins. Starting the animation cancels any jump.
-
You do the warlock skate in D2 by gliding short distances....not like how titan skate was in D1. You let go of the glide before it slows down..land and start glide again to go faster every time. I main hunter and even i know that.
-
I know how to warlock skate, been one for about 4 years. Warlock skating implies that you are running as well as using glide boost. You can't run while devouring.
-
Yeah but you dont have to keep runing after the initial burst of speed..meaning you will still go faster than an arcstrider hunter while devouring.
-
I can be full on warlock skating and still not outrun an Arcstrider. Unless the Arcstrider is about 10 miles away from you and stops at every gas station and tourist sight of the way, you aren't gonna outrun them with the walk skate. You genuinely need to sprint to get the best benefit with warlock skating.
-
That is different from what i did in mayhem last week then. Outrunning arcstriders and striker titans that popped their super right by me. And also outrunning nova bombs that were just cast. And i was only at 3/4 agility....so i could have gone faster and farther.
