Its bad enough that factions went from all the time in d1 to only a week in d2 making them basically pointless but now only allowing 1 faction pledge per account and locking catalysts and ornaments behind a certain faction (dead orbit already won before it begins)
At least it couldnt get any worse i suppose... whats this? Renown?
Health regeneration is vastly reduced.
Player damage decreased.
Incoming damage increased
....are you trying to lose players? Nothing feels powerful in d2 and your solution is to make weapons do less damage and make enemies annoyingly strong
Its gotten to the point where im actually starting to be slightly embarrassed to be considered part of the d2 community
(Also d2 vanguard perks suck cabals so hard)

1 RespuestaPlain and simple, account bound faction pledging was an unimaginative suggestion from the beginning that was mainly expressed by a vocal minority of the community. These same people are expressing that “random rolls” are the only solution to weapon drop stagnation when an expansion of the modding system would accomplish the same objective, if they weren’t using tunnel vision. Having said that, a Tower daily and Rally scoreboard, a faction versus mode in PVP, and some weapons with decent perks and stats would’ve quieted up most these people way more, IMO, than account bound pledging has. In the end, the funny thing is that these same people who suggested account bound pledging will be the ones telling people how to do one thing to reach max level in the most joyless way and repetitive possible. But now that we’re locked to one faction, you’ve assured that this is how I’ll play as I have we week and no wiggle room to do so in season 3.

Yes. The new system sucks

1 Respuestalook this up if you do not believe this. Bungie has had Destiny as a whole on the back burner and out sourced the last dlc. And it shows. D2 has been failuer and a insult to the player base. Know bungie is making a new game that has nothing to with the half assed destiny game. Now we can see why Destiny has no content and a huge mess of a story. With the connection to the china company way more Grredboxes and microtransaction are going to be the center piece as this is exactly what bungie has done with D2. Do Not Buy any DLC or anything ever again as bungie has shown Destiny is at best an after thought to them. Destiny has been guessed by players, Youtubers, and Streamers to be dead and Dying. Well now we know that bungie has no intention to make Destiny any better ever. Its over and done. A failuer from start to end. Check Google/Kotaku.com for yourself.

19 RespuestasSo here is a thought, work with me here; Lets say you can pick all three factions like usual. You favor dead orbit for that graviton Lance catalyst. You work all week grinding dead orbit and realize it takes a long time to hit max reward to get it and you barely make it before the end of the event. Then next faction rally, you focus on future war cult and the next one new monarchy. How would this be any different than having only one choice per account per event? Cause your still gonna do the milestones for each character each week and if it does take forever for hit max, you might not have enough time to grind faction and play on other characters. So only having the one selection per account might make it easier to hit max reward per event as you have 3 characters to work with instead of one. I think this would only outrage me if they said you can only pick one faction per season and next season the rewards are different. That would be crap.

Editado por D2_Dahaka_PAL: 6/2/2018 12:58:04 AMStop trying to reinvent the wheel Bungle! You just keep coming up with squares and triangles as solutions! This one faction per account BS is pure lunacy! I’ve had a Warlock as Dead Orbit, a Hunter as FWC and a Titan as New Monarchy since Destiny 1 year 1! Now I must play how you tell me so you can arteficially increase the grind? Keep undoing the small amount of goodwill you built up with warmind. fools!

So lemme get this straight. They launch a shitty game with nothing new. Launch two shitty DLCs, that essentially kill the fanbase. THEN - they decide to punish the very few gamers that actually still play the game? Yeah. Bungie obviously gives no -blam!-s about their gamerbase. Whatever game developer who thought one per account was a good idea. Should probably not be allowed to make any grown up decisions anymore.

Editado por Jet2Holiday: 6/1/2018 6:50:12 PMIt feels dirty. My Hunter has never pledged to DO... now it looks he has no choice. My Warlock was a FWC devotee. She might end up shooting her Ghost and then jumping from the tower. Sad day...

1 RespuestaWe have 3 supposed individual characters that share a vault and weapons but, not armour. They must each now change how they may have been aligned with factions, not for in game reasons but, to extend a grind arbitrarily. The seasons were an interesting idea however, now it is starting to feel, with reseting progress etc at the beginning of new seasons, like we are in a game show and not a fight for the existence of human kind, guardians and the tower. Waaaaaaaaaay back in D1 Deej had said they wanted to ensure to value our time commitment, yet by starting us all at zero, wiping out our faction tokens etc. they tell players that at some point, there is no purpose to playing the game other than for your entertainment, you will not earn anything and that the economy they created is severely broken for the accomplishments they have set up. D1 was built for the extended grind, d2 was built for accessability of a wider audience to play. D1 had random rolls, individual perk trees etc.. d2 is a significantly watered down, easier version with tokens and with it, more casuals who want to obtain everything quick and easy. If my time allows me to grind for anything in this game, it should never be wiped out just because I may have the advantage to earn something later. We as guardians should not have factions matter on the outside of the game more than the inside of the game. WHY must our three guardians choose the same faction to represent? What game logic and story does that accomplish? The meaningful decisions we all make in the game should mattter, in game, with story rammifications not simply because we want you the player to feel a grind, but, for the story to actually have meaning. Your characters should feel good individually to have achieved certain goals for each of them in the story. Why do we not have factions taking control of the tower with the speaker gone, using pvp as a way to somehow dictate which of the 3 factions will rise to control guardians fates and how thigns are politically approached. Meaningful decisions arnt just for the player but, for the game to immerse us in its lore.. severely lacking since grimoire was removed, story rewrites the lore we have and dismisses it in a few quick sentences. Honestly, I had hoped for more, but, expected the shallow and easy way out after having seen bungie in action since day one of Destiny..

Bring back Destiny 1, just trash this awful game.

Since D1 my Warlock has been pledged to Dead Orbit, Hunter to New Monarchy & Titan to Future War Cult but now I can't play that fantasy anymore? Great way to ruin my guardians identities & my fun!
-
Bungie philosophy on the subject: “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it....unless we need to seriously limit progression and rewards, then destroy the whole thing and then let make them only have one choice in the matter....per account.. We gotta extend that grind and playtime somehow.”
-
5 RespuestasI said that along time ago. I like the old way better, but i don't think they should limit you to one faction per an event per character now that they only come out every once in a while. What if you only have one character. they should let you switch factions that way you could do more than one faction per event with the one character. Some people don't have more than one character.
-
4 RespuestasReinstalled D1, I can't believe the fun I'm having grinding faction rep. FYI, Raze Lighter (OH YEAH).
-
5 RespuestasI'm annoyed that it's only one faction per account, i've had FWC Titan, DO Hunter and NM Warlock ever since D1.
-
4 RespuestasThe new faction system is a direct result of Old Bungie listening to the streamers again. If you look at how the new system is designed. There is zero reason why you are forced to pledge to a single faction on an entire account. The only place I ever saw that mentioned was from streamers. The complaint from actual players was that you could simply pledge all to get the winning prize and that this was not how the D1 factions worked. The new changes seem interesting but, they also FULLY support pledging each character to a different faction as you now need to grind ALL 3 factions to 50 over the course of 3 rallies! The only and I mean only way that works IS if you had pledged one character per faction and ground out the three characters. Even the ornaments seem to dictate which class should have been pledged to which faction for frak sake! So while it's way too late for this faction rally I would urge Bungie to change the one faction per account nonsense. It really does not fit with the re-design of the faction rally itself. In fact it seems to completely go against it!

4 RespuestasI think it’s a mistake as well. I dig the idea that choosing a faction should be mean something but this is definitely the wrong approach. People won’t choose a faction but an ornament and even more a catalyst. DO will win, it’s not even a competition. My main is a Titan for NM so I will be grinding for that, but most people will go for the catalyst of Graviton Lance. It’s giving me shivers that my hunter will be grinding for NM while he’s FWC. Same for my Warlock that sided with DO. If they really want to make you make a FACTION choice for your account and not for every character, then they should have made the catalyst to grind for the same with each faction. Same for the ornament, instead of armor they should have picked a weapon ornament. An ornament for the same weapon with each faction but in the style of that faction off course. Only that way you would have a fair Faction Rally. Still prefer the way in D1 though. You pledge and you stick to it per character. That way your main gives more support a certain faction because most of the time you play more with your main. Now you can switch every time without a problem. It’s BS... gameplay wise and lore wise.

1 RespuestaEditado por GenXer: 6/1/2018 1:02:24 PMHonestly, when I first read about this, I was in disbelief. I've always run one of each faction on my characters. I've hung in there for a long time, but Bungie are really starting to chip away at my resolve to play this game.
-
With a Rank Emblem, why can't we gain faction rep all year? Keeping the Featured Weapon, Renown, and Catalyst tied to the Rally. But having only one faction to pledge to account wide, is disappointing. The New Monarchy Sweet Business, increases the blow. Dead Orbit getting Graviton Lance is an instant Faction win.
-
The headaches!!! I don't know why Bungie keeps making the wrong decisions over and over and over again. Are manatees making all the important decisions? In D1 factions where great. In D2 they sucked, but at least you could pledge all 3 characters to 3 different factions. The coming faction rally... I don't even have words for this -blam!-up.

35 RespuestasEditado por Astellan: 6/1/2018 7:13:34 AMYeah, this Dev team is amazingly stupid. Again, they do not understand immersion at all. All they understand is nerf the player in order to make their game hard. I have never seen a dev team so clueless. In WoW, Swtor, Torchlight, Wild Star, and the list goes on challenging content means harder and smarter adds with a strong boss. D2 Devs? We nerf the player and call it challening! Please, Someone start a petition to get this Dev team fired. I have never seen a dev team have such a hard on for just making content hard by centralizing nerfs around the player abilties. Like yeah, a boss fight might have a debuff, a room may have a particular challenge, but during those fights the whole idea is the players get abilities to restore themselves to full strength, or the have to pull the boss somewhere that takes the debuff off of them. D2? As you get more powerful they nerf you so you are never allowed to feel powerful. Whats the point? Again, Chang.org. Start a petition to get rid of these devs. We want challenging content not content that revolves around taking our abilities away and making us feel like our characters are made of glass. If I wanted to play a normal human being I would play a game based around being an normal human being.

1 RespuestaCouldnt get any worse? Inagine being an FWCer. The sunshot ornament doesnt fix the worst part of the gun, the mag size, and the armour (besides warlock) still looks bad. Oh, and as icing on the cake, we get mocked for the devs giving us nothing to draw people in, not decent cosmetics (as NM does) and not great guns (some decent ones, but not bettsr then anything outside or thst the other 2 factions have).
-
It's all another timestalling tactic. The latest DLC and updates have completely reeked of timestalling. Why else would they have Faction Rallies as an event rather than weekly and now only let you pledge to one faction? So it takes you longer to get all the loot.
-
Yes. Make this the official thread!
-
I'm not as angry about the Renown perks (though I do think it should be toned down before implementation if all of that is going to stack at once), but the faction rally should certainly be reverted or at least extended through another week. Also, judging from how the catalysts sounded from their slot description, I automatically assumed that pledging allegiance would give you the catalysts and doing stuff under their name would upgrade it to Masterwork.

2 RespuestasIt’s a deliberate move to throttle your progression in an attempt to keep you playing for the September expansion.
