Just hit a cat while driving to the store...
-blam!-.. I feel awful. It's midnight and the thing literally came sprinting across the road just as I was driving by and got smacked.

We have a lot of strays in my neighborhood and we try to catch them to find good homes for them. Last month we caught this cat that's been running around with some strange growth hanging from it's chin. Poor thing couldn't even cry. We took her to a vet and I hear she's doing a lot better now and is very happy in her new home. They're good cats, Brent

:( I'm sorry man. I have a soft spot for pets, and I know that's gotta be hard. But, I also want to point out, well... swerving violently and suddenly to avoid an animal suddenly darting in front of you can be extremely dangerous, a lot of people have ended up in accidents far, far worse because they panicked and hit somebody else, or a tree or something. I'd rather hear about you hitting a cat, than hear about you getting hurt

Well on the way there I'm driving my truck and I hear like a loud whimper, I suddenly saw a golden retriever and managed to avoid him but the idiot basically riding up my ass ran the dog over and saw it splatter on his front bumper as I watched through my rear view mirror in horror. I drove most of the way crying because I love dogs so much and honestly if he would never have gotten hit I would have loaded him up and rushed him to a vet. Edit: Shit makes me upset thinking about it, thanks for reminding me of one of my worst days in high school...

It is ok to feel awful. When I was 17, I had to work Christmas Eve and my family, friends and girlfriend all went out of town, so I had no one to spend Christmas with. So I got in my shitty little Nissan and drove around town, until the Christmas Squirrel appeared and ran out in front of me, only to become a pancake. I went home and felt like the most evil asshole ever. Then I got wasted and played video games.
