Raise your hand if you asked for ghosts & sparrows to be added as Nightfall rewards.
Certain members of the Bungie Defense Force have been responding to backlash over the "exclusive strike loot," which includes exotic ghosts and sparrows. They claim that "this is what the community asked for." I've been here for a while and I've never once seen someone request to be rewarded with a ghost or sparrow for completing an endgame activity. I don't, MAYBE I'M CRAZY, but I've never seen this in 4 years. Is this what you guys wanted?

Its must be. When the stuff was locked behind eververse, the little kids lost their mind. Now its obtainable just by playing the game, the little kiddos are crying again. Its a no win situation. We got exactly what the kids were crying for

What they could, and should, do is make the rewards like Y3 faction rank ups. You get to choose, armour, weapon or cosmetic. Helps towards balancing out piss-poor RNG.

While I’m not personally against cosmetics and vanity items being thrown in, I can say that a lot of folks were disappointed with the lack of weapons and exclusive gear/armor. That’s the kind of stuff we want to see more of.

Nope all we wanted was armour. We don’t even want weapons coz they are all set rolled and forgettable.

Is this what you guys wanted?[/quote] I never saw one post asking for something specific; just garbage like "give us D1 Strike rewards," "we don't want reskins," "These rewards are a joke," and even some guy who was actually pissed that the Strike specific sniper dropped for him on his first attempt.....this community doesn't know what it wants and won't be happy with what it gets. It's not your fault and it's not Bungie's fault; gamers today just expect way too much, way too fast, and expect it to last years and years.....for free. I remember buying a $60 game and beating over the weekend and that was it for the game and I was happy. Now, if a game doesn't spew out new content over 3 years consistently, it's considered a failure. Complain about new ghosts and sparrows that you don't want all you want, but at least offer up some kind of concrete, realistic reward that could possibly be offered instead.....not just "we want D1".....

Though of course bungie could have seen that people were pretty well exclusively talking about armor and weapons. Failure in communication on both sides. Thankfully this was a mistake made in a sandbox update rather than a content one. Nothing wrong with cosmetics either. People played for those in AoT.

Apparently, in all their listening, what Bungie heard was something a little different. It's sort of like when you're sitting at home and your significant other is talking to you, but you're just not interested in what they're saying so you're only pretending to listen while imagining elevator music or something so you don't actually have to listen. You only hear half of what the person is saying so when they ask "are you listening" and you say "yes", your brain quickly tries to piece together what they were saying and fills in the blanks as best it can because you know they are going to ask you "what did I say?". Well... you are that significant other and Bungie is the one only half listening to you while they imagine elevator music and nod their heads and say "we're listening" just enough times so it looks like they're listening to you. Players wanted sparrows and ghosts added to the endgame loot pool rather than being exclusively available from the mtx shop and they wanted strike exclusives to make a return. What Bungie heard was more akin to "blah blah sparrows blah ghosts blah blah strike exclusives.". Put all that together and when Bungie fills in the blanks as best they can what we get is "we want sparrows and ghosts as strike exclusives". And that's how we ended up with sparrows and ghosts as strike exclusives. :P

Nope Weve been asking for impactful loot that changes the loadouts changes the way you play . A sparrow doesn’t do a damn thing - if it had guns that’s a different story Ghost shell - we already have plenty of shells that have the same perks . I don’t understand how they keep missing the entire issue . All anyone wants is a god damn gun that is better than a fkn Uriel’s gift . Something that will be worth the grind and have value . I could’ve even gone for a d2 last word . Or a d2 bad juju anything ... seriously anything better than what we have .... Sigh - Next Tuesday we’ll get a secret new addition in the nightfall which will be another pos . Every week since the go fast I keep looking to see if it’s worth grinding the nightfall and so far nope ... Guess we’ll wait and see what next week brings . Bungie give me a damn reason to play the game.

27 RespuestasYou've been here for as long as I can remember. If you don't remember the remove Everese post during the winter event then you must be getting forgetful. Those post were full of demands that ghost, sparrows, and ships bring added to the endgame. On that note, remember the post requesting easier rng on the Wrath Raid ship or the faction ship. It wouldn't matter how unique looking the Nightfall gear looked, it would still be the same as everything else we use.

Were you around like a month or two ago? The very first time this community got together about a single topic and it was over cosmetics. "all of the loot is in eververse" "the only loot worth grinding for is locked behind eververse" "why play when I can just pay for the best loot" The forums were ridden with posts and comments like those for weeks.

Well when they came from bright engrams it was a problem and they needed to be in game rewards. Best loot in the game not so long ago.
