I know it's a long video. But would you kindly give it a watch. This is what Destiny was.
I still can't believe how far they have fallen off the path.
This is what made the game.
I still believe.

Editado por FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 10/5/2018 4:24:09 PMRight now, Destiny 1 is still a better game than Destiny 2. Its not notoglia, its a fact because it pretty much does everything that Destiny 2 struggled or is struggling to get back, right like quests, raids, crucible gamemodes, heroic strikes, bounties, weapons, and etc.

I’d still have to say Year 2 was where Destiny was at it’s best. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Year 1 despite its problems mostly because the grind for better guns was so addictive, but those problems were real I tell you. Take a good long look at Year 1. You can see the cracks of the game showing through. Even with the expansions there wasn’t much to do until HoW made everything relevant again. They technically recycled content but in the best way possible by having it still be worth our time. Etheric Light pretty much saved the game, then Trials of Osiris launched it into stardom.

5 RespuestasThere are a few reasons why a lot of people believe D1 vanilla was better than D2. 1. Nostalgia and that Destiny 1 was really the first of its kind and if it wasn't the first for a lot of people. We were able to look past some things because the idea was pretty new. 2. Sometimes the grind was worth it. Doing bounties every day, hoping for an exotic bounty, doing the raid or finding Gorgon checkpoints in recruitment and doing the nightfall and lastly hope Our had something good. 3. A lot of us were addicted(I was at least). It was so easy to look at the bad, but keep playing because we had hopes that one day that exotic we wanted or that sweet sweet Facebringer, Vex Mythoclast, VoC or what have you would drop. Destiny 2 has on of these things. There's no nostalgia so we can't look back on it and think t was awesome. All the loot pretty much feels the same and it's hard to get addicted to loot maybe dropping if loot doesn't matter.

Editado por Burnt: 1/22/2018 3:50:25 AMIt is crazy how, Destiny 1 finished up for me, one of the GREATEST games ever, honestly, people where happy, the game was so healthy after RoI leading onto AOT and onto the finish, the game was FANTASTIC... Bungie pretty much had the game in the bag at that point, they where so close to getting Destniny the way we all wanted and the way they wanted, no one even really cared that D2 was going to be another game because pretty much everyone knew that they knew what they where doing at this point. Now we get D2, which to me.. looks like they already had it completed before ROI came out, because we lost almost evrything that ROI gave us.. strange..

the one for D2 will be a short one , as most of the people in the vid moved on to new games and other stuff as D2 is well D2..

4 RespuestasD1 went through it's own growing pains though as well.......... and for some reason when people want to bring up the nostalgia of it, they forget that it took until House of Wolves (and really the Taken King), for Bungie to get their shit together. Vanilla D1 had little story and closed off areas, The Dark Below gave us access to closed off areas and made our VoG gear inferior. HoW came with no raid, but at least the Prison of Elders & Trials. But finally let us take gear forward. But D1 had loot issues, balance issues, Iron Banner 1 was awful which needed to be tweaked twice, Queen's Wrath event was as embarrassing as Faction Rallies and Bungie left the Thorn/Hawkmoon/Last Word meta for the longest time without making other guns competitive. D2 is a shitshow and should have learned from 3 years of D1 improvements. But pretending Y1 was fantastic is disingenuous. It had problems..... not as many as D2.... but it had problems that forced many players away who never returned to the franchise at all.

15 RespuestasEditado por Krishnas Prophet: 1/22/2018 12:18:39 PMSometimes the Destiny community strikes me as a bunch of young adults discovering that nostalgia is a thing, but not realizing that nostalgia is what they are experiencing. Don't get me wrong, Destiny 2 has a lot of issues that need fixing (they will get fixed). But no one remembers how pissed they were about issues early on in Destiny 1. Also young adults, the majority of content creators fall into this camp as well. Objectively, Destiny 2 is a train ride with sub par service. Not the train reck everyone is making it out to be. Kids, its time to take a long look in the mirror and realize that many of Destiny2's problems are yours, and not the game's. When D3 rolls around today's squeakers will be graduating high school and complaining about how much D3 pales I'm comparison to the good ol' Days of D2. It's not Bungie. It's the circle of life...

37 RespuestasDestiny 1 Year 1 was the best game I ever played. House of Wolves era Destiny was the best thing ever. 2 raids and PvE. Every single gun and armor piece could hit max light. Trials of Osiris end game. PvP was fun (unbalanced but fun). Then TTK came and kinda ruined all that....

5 RespuestasEditado por Salamander: 1/22/2018 5:52:52 PMI just don't understand this community. Destiny 1 was what made the game? If I recall correctly, Bungie totally flopped the launch of Destiny 1 as well, all the way up until TTK. There was a severe lack of content in Vanilla Destiny 1 and perhaps most memorable, "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain". House of Wolves started making other content obsolete. TTK actually brought more in depth, detailed story and content that was missing and so did Rise of Iron although Rise of Iron missed the mark with lack of content as well. There were some great additions made in D1, but to start saying how much better D1 was is a joke. Bungie flopped the launch of D1 and D2. If I may quote you for a moment, "how far they have fallen off the path"....man, they were never on the path. Both games have been a giant mess from the start. And don't get me wrong, I really do love certain things about Destiny, but let's just try to be honest. D1 was not the pinnacle of Destiny, which says a lot when it's the original. It has great moments, but Bungie messed up.

The moment I got the gjallarhorn from the 1st chest in the Crota raid, they patched it real quick i remember, but the feeling...Yessssssssssss gjallarhorn.................. I have never had this feeling in D2 not a sec....the other day I booted up D1 again must say a lot of people still play the game....... Ah the good old days

1 RespuestaD1, year 1, was the best version of Destiny hands down. It had the best weapons, best raids, most epic moments, hidden exotic weapon quests, best version of the nightfall, best version of PvP, daily reward bounties, best weapon system...everything about it was EPIC. Taken King was good, more so for the introduction of fresh content. But it was honestly the begining of the end. Taken King was the start of Bungie nerfing EVERYTHING. They removed damage burns from primary weapons (which NOBODY ASKED FOR). They removed OP exotic weapons (gally) which nobody asked for. They removed OP raid weapons from the raid Kings Fall. Since Taken King, Bungie has just continued to nerf the game down and take the fun out of it. Why they thought this would be a good idea is beyond me, most likely to "gain new players" aka make more money. Now it has backfired and hopefully Bungie will learn from their mistakes and MAKE DESTINY GREAT AGAIN!
-
D1 bungie was way worse than current bungie. They kept removing content from the base game from people who didn’t buy the expansions for all 3 years and did so without ANY real affordable options in year 3 for 360 and ps3 owners. Despite how prevalent eververse is now in the game, bungie was still a bigger scumbag back then and is actually attempting to rectify things now.

Was beautiful

I blame Luke Smith and John Wisniewski for this disaster.
