Edit:
4 man fireteams, large maps like halo warzone firefight, when you load into a map you never know if it will be cabal, taken, fallen, etc.
Battle increasingly hard waves, with small objectives here and there, after so many rounds a boss round.
Add specific exotics and loot, create a scoring system like challenge of the elders, leaderboards, and add modifiers.
Or
Create more tiles for the infinite forest, add alot more enemies, lock all doors until enemies are cleared, and add boss rooms. Maybe create new spires that take us to a arena on Dark Future Mars, Past Venus, etc.
Or
Add a small activity like Archon Forge to the Dark Forest on Earth, maybe even expand the Dark Forest some.

1 RespuestaI could imagine the map being like, the top of the wall. And it gets harder and harder to defend. That or you could be on the front lines of the wall with maybe some scaffolding lining across it.

3 RespuestasAs of now there’s so much they could do for pve to keep fresh fun content added regularly. A free update then dlc free update then dlc with some special dawning/crimson events in between would keep a high player base consistently playing

Chainsaw bayonets. Earnable aerial/artillery bombardment fire support. Normal bayonets. Unlockable ai teammates including main/vanguard characters (temporary). Random wave objectives for bonus cash/ammo/special weapons.[/spoiler] Feel the power of the C.O.G.

Forge and Court of Oryx were quite fun at times too, especially getting the Grimoire for defeating the boss variations. Fun.

1 RespuestaI love a good horde mode. Why bungie insists on doing their own, lacklustre variations......it’s bungie-wot am I saying? PoE n the Forge were both ok, oh n that other one on the dreadnought that was always empty?? I’d play GoW horde for just hrs-n if D2 had something similar (equal to or better please) then it would be just the same. N it would have to be matchmaking. Sick of being forced to lfg for things that don’t ever need it. Like so many things we’ve been asking for-it prob won’t happen though-not how we’d like it.
