I don’t think the eververse should be removed as it adds an incentive for Bungie and the live team to continue providing content in the long term but it is in its current form excessive and designed to work against the player. 100+ items added in CoO (around half the items added) and 2 weeks later another 50+ all behind rng is too much. Bungie should add the ability to purchase any item individually from eververse as this would incentivize players to grind (or spend) for items they want. This would also incentivize Bungie to create quality content for the eververse as they know people will play and/or pay for it. As of now I think there are much bigger issues with destiny than the eververse. Some of the following was in d1 and didn’t make it into d2 (because reasons) and is needed to make this game better for the long term. (IMO) Private matches Crucible ranking system Strike scoring Strike specific loot More varied modifiers Hard mode raid gear that is more than just a shader effect apart from normal mode Time gated quests and story missions Everyone on the forums raging for or against the #remove eververse gives a damn about the game and all that we need now is for Bungie to stop offering empty platitudes and vague promises and action meaningful change.
