Just wondering. Vote and leave a bump if you're feeling extra kind. Edit: Some people were asking about how to download this, so I'm making this edit. 1. Download the installer and follow the instructions. Make sure to have the GameSpy thing checked off, and make sure you create a shortcut. Google for a Cd key, they aren't hard to find. http://hce.halomaps.org/?fid=410 2. After installing Halo Custom Edition, download this and run the update thingy, downloaded here. http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=6798 3. This is optional, however, I highly recommend it. It's a little more complicated that the other steps, however.
We'll be replacing the Ui so that you can participate in single player campaigns and some firefight maps. First, left click the shortcut and the select properties. Then, select view in folder. This will bring you to the game files. Find the folder named maps, and copy and save the Ui.map file somewhere on your computer so you have a spare copy. Next, download a custom Ui file. I recommend this one:http://hce.halomaps.org/?fid=6952 After you've downloaded that, open it and copy the Ui.map file you downloaded. Paste that file into the maps folder. Replace the other Ui file with this new file. As a side note, when altering things in the Halo folder, the computer may ask for administrative access. Just click yes, I accept, etc.
After all that, you can open Halo and play Multiplayer.
