On one hand, we have the low skill scrubs who think this weapon is balanced and Bungie should create more weapons like this. They think that PL is a very skilled weapon because of its low ttk and the fact that everyone has it.
These are the same guardians who used to abuse special weapons and abilities in Destiny 1, and called themselves “skilled” even though they hid behind their easy to use, grossly overpowered weapons (thorn, two tap Last Word, final round snipers, HCR clever dragon, fusion grenades, the list goes on...)
On the other hand, we have the more realistic guardians who have a sense of knowledge in them, and KNOW that the PL is broken piece of turd that is ruining the balance of crucible. They want to play a more balanced crucible, and use their wits and gun skill to outplay their opponent.
So because of this, Bungie has a dilemma. Should they cater to brainless kids who just want to pick up crazy weapons and have fun? Or should they cater to the more serious PvP crowd who want to play competitively and have a fair match.
The answer is easy. CREATE SEPARATE PLAYLISTS THAT CATER TO DIFFERENT GUARDIANS NEEDS. HALO DID THIS AND IT WORKED WELL. IT DOESNT TAKE A GENIUS TO FIGURE THIS OUT!!!

4 RespuestasI dont understand this argument. Everyone Had the PL. If you did not use it in the crucible then that was poor judgement. Everyone had the gun. So it actually did come down to skill. If you were more skilled than Brainless Brian. It would show on your KD. 2 people with the same gun are only separated by their skill. Sounds like you are pissed off because Brainless Brian got the jump on you.

1 Respuesta"....broken piece of turd that is ruining the balance of crucible...." <-- this. This is Truth. This should be added the guns description in the game LOL.

Badass TC alert. I can already hear the panties dripping at the passion. Seriously though, this PvP is trash. I get better combat enjoyment out of Mario Party People liked PL because it was fun and exciting. If we want well balanced gunplay where we were afraid to stick our heads around corners and teamshot a poor unlucky bastard to death we'd join the military. People like you ruin online gaming because couch potato sport fads are all the rage

This here ladies and gentleman is the same kind of person that thinks that Destiny 2 Pvp is better than Destiny’s Pvp.
-
loved it ..or hated it. It was the most balanced pvp has ever been. :)
On one hand, we have the low skill scrubs who think this weapon is balanced and Bungie should create more weapons like this. They think that PL is a very skilled weapon because of its low ttk and the fact that everyone has it.
Lol no one thinks this. People like it, because it's fun. D2 PVP sucks. You can cry about balance all you want, but if balanced crucible means 9/10 matches end with a time out because both teams do nothing but squat behind a corner taking potshots with midas then give me an over powered broken weapon any day.
Ah, the old "Anything I don't use is an over powered crutch!1!1!" argument that led to fine and fair things being nerfed for no reason other than people crying because they didn't want to change or adapt their playstyle.
Should they cater to brainless kids who just want to pick up crazy weapons and have fun? Or should they cater to the more serious PvP crowd who want to play competitively and have a fair match.
Well lets see. One group literally just wants to have fun. The other group will constantly bitch, moan and cry when they don't win every fight because clearly it's not that they just got outplayed. It's that literally every item in the game that beat them is "overpowered".

Editado por Jonnnys: 12/13/2017 7:41:30 AMThey do. Quick play and trials. Some teams are that bad they should never leave quick play.

Tl:dr for whoever needs it Boo! PL bad! You use PL? You bad! Bungie don't cater to bad people pls! Vs We no use PL! We good players! Bungie pls!

Destiny has always had a rolling meta. To exclude their usage put you at an immediate disadvantage. Was it the fault of the kid using the meta or that who opposed it. Sure the team would re-balance weapons periodically which in turn would create a new meta hence the cycle perpetuates itself. Tomorrow it will be the mida and uriels gift once more. I played a few matches using the gun and found it refreshing. It enabled solo players a platform on which to compete with the team shot mechanic prevalent. Simply separate the pvp from the pve entirely. Last not least it is simply a game so breath in and 'goosefrabar'.

4 RespuestasIf you're such a "Serious" PvP player you should play a different game because, umm, this game doesn't even have ranked play, tournaments or any real skill gap. The game is trash in that respect. It's one of the most casual PvP games I've ever played Anyone that considers Destiny PvP "Serious"need to seek medical attention lol
-
Oh, I forgot. Your comments about "low skilled" and "brainless kids" was just plain not necessary. It's a game, not a job, not something you need to prove yourself at to enjoy. Quit with the elitist crap. There are NO pro Destiny players. If you think you're one you have more problems than I can address here in a forum post.

STOP , JUST STOP with being rational thats not allowed here! :)

The crybabies ruined destiny. Destiny 1 was heading in the right direction and had so much potential. All the crying and shit got us destiny 2. This is exactly the product of all the bitching and moaning we seen over the last 3 years. Basically bungie trolled the crybabies and the rest of us are left with a shit game.
-
Totally Agree ther is no skill in usin PL i hate it but if you dont use u dont win cuz it beats all the other weapons AR, Scout, Hand canons pulse u cant fight it even if you shot first and it sucks that weapon is for noobs and non skilled players it is for Pussies period.

1 RespuestaThis is all I hear, “my KD is getting ripped apart, nerf the lens!”
-
What about those of us who just thought it was fun to use? Yeah, it's obviously broken/bugged whatever you wanna call it. But in some of the crucible matches I was in over the weekend where it was pretty much 4v4 with the PL I had so much fun. I was laughing like crazy person it was great. And now it's unusable.
-
I don't think it's skilled to use it , I think it's a rare occasion of pvp crucible FUN , to use it ^^
-
3 RespuestasDestiny pvp can not be taken seriously never will be. We are all force to use same gun on D1 and D2. There is no ranking and level one can come day one and kill anyo e no matter what their level. The TTK is to slow a guy with sword take full magizine to face and still kill me. Not one weapon takes any still at all
-
1 RespuestaEditado por MC 077 Lasombra: 12/11/2017 12:56:14 PMSorry but I’ve never understood the complaints about power in D1. You’re a demi-god fueled by a reality bending cosmic power. Did you think pvp was going to be like Battlefield Or Crackdown? I expected it to be over the top because that is what Bungie said it would be. How did you people not square that with pvp expectations? The whole complaining about power, in a game where that is the sole central pillar, is absurd. Yes it made pvp hectic. So? Why must all FPS be the same?
-
They should add a game mode called “Pure Chaos” that will allow gamers to use weapons, that were OP, pre-nerf. But of course they would then have to add those weapons back in D2 which will make people angry for some reason...
-
4 RespuestasLol so using what was given to them is abuse? I dont think you understand what that word means. The point of pvp is to kill other players and they did just that, but you think they shouldnt kill people as fast as possible and should slow down so less skilled like yourself can catch up. You probably think everyone is a winner and deserves participation trophies

Editado por li91tminer: 12/12/2017 2:01:01 PMHow D1 pvp worked: whoever throws the most fusion nades the fastest wins; oh, author of this response won How D2 pvp works; whoever is slightly better with Prometheus Lens wins; oh, he won again. I am beginning to sense a pattern...

Competitive. Only allow a certain amount of weapons anyone can use. i.e. Battle rifle Halo 2. We all had em, get good with em, team kill or what, 4 shot? If you wanna run in with whatever then quickplay. You want competitive, then only vanguard weapons allowed (only an example) I like what trials tries to do, but hate that you should use the meta to do well in most cases. I'm not a huge fan of super powers in PvP-FpS, rather gunplay and movement being what sets people apart. TTK should be reduced, 6v6, vehicles and more vertically to the maps would greatly increase QoL, at least for me lol.
-
2 RespuestasYou are right about the divide, but I question your divisions. Nobody thinks the gun is balanced, if they do, they are stupid. The division I am seeing is between people who take this game way too seriously, demanding that PL be removed, or it ruined PvP, and I'm not playing until it's fixed. The other side is people who fully understand the gun is broken, and going to be fixed, so why not have a little crazy fun while it lasts? Lots of non noob players were rockin the Lazerfest this weekend. So it's the difference between Fun people, and Serious people. PL is not a noob gun, sure it kills fast, but the handling is terrible, it bounces all over the place while firing, and once they patch it, you won't see it anymore often then you see Coldheart.

1 RespuestaDifferent playlists? You mean like, competitive playlist and maybe a quick playlist? Or something along those lines?
-
I agree with this solution. I love the Prometheus lens and don’t want laser tag to go away, but at the same time we can’t have people running around with OP weapons forever
