How in the hell are you going to justify a double xp event when you implemented an xp cap when repeating activities? Am I the only one who thinks this?
Haha, this post was worth the replies.

XP trackers means planning routes now. Not enough brain cells though.

15 RespuestasDude I've already got my grind map ready so I don't run into that problem. Do a PE first then a Lost Sectors for the area and the clean out any high value targets. Then, I move to the next area. I make it a point to do the lost sectors because to me they are really fun. Some of them look absolutely amazing. Especially on Nessus and Io

17 RespuestasFigured I post to explain how the exp cap works and what it does exactly since, after reading the responses to this post, it's pretty apparent that a lot of people don't know... though I'm sure there is that one guy who just likes to sound misinformed. Keep in mind however that, since Bungie won't even acknowledge the xp cap exists (much less explain anything), we can only base our understanding of it from the experiences listed by players who have hit the cap as well as the article that's been published about it. Couple common sense notes; 1) Experience points after level 20 go toward earning Bright Engrams rather than further leveling your character. 2) Bright Engrams give you two "random" evers items and two blue mods. Those claiming "experience points are useless after level 20", Bungievision would beg to differ. The more experience points players can amass, the more free Bright Engrams they will receive, and the less likely they are to spend money on Bright Engrams. I'd agree that there's nothing in them worth wasting money, but that's not going to stop Bungievision from encouraging players to purchase them. How it works; The experience cap isn't a daily cap, it doesn't stop you from earning experience points for the rest of the day once you hit the cap. The experience cap is just another one of Bungievisions really stupid ideas on how to "encourage" players to switch it up every now and then instead of just grinding public events all the time. From what I've seen, through my own experience and those listed by others, the cap can be removed simply by going to do something else for a while. By something else, I of course mean something that isn't related to the farm you've been running (or switch characters and continue the farm, if you insist). Keeping in mind that Bungievision seemingly couldn't care less about player enjoyment or the whole effort-vs-reward equation, we can only assume that this cap was implemented in an effort to keep players from simply farming the same things over and over. I used the phrase "encourage" earlier because Bungie is literally giving you the ultimatum of either continuing to farm as you have been for minimized results or stop farming for a little while and go do something else. A daily cap would've suggested this was just another of Bungievision's attempts to force players to purchase Bright Engrams, but the fact that the cap can be removed simply by not farming for a while suggests that this is more likely just another of Bungievisions attempts to make players play the game the way Bungievision wants them to play it. They want you to have to grind for the gear and items you want, but as they've demonstrated with the loot cap and now the exp cap, they don't want you to actually grind.

I don't even bother with the triple xp on the first 3 bright engrams, double means nothing.

Maybe they mean double Windows XP and it means they are adding another server to appease the PC brigade. No lag in this game. Because it’s hard to get lag when no one is playing anymore.
-
2 RespuestasThere is no cap?
-
It doesn’t. ABF - Another Bungie fib.

2 RespuestasXp does nothing in this game. It's ridiculous people out there are grinding for bright engrams. Are you joking me? This game is so pathetic it's unreal
-
It’s hilarious is it not. But just do one of the trivial lost sectors or something different and then go back to grinding pubs.
-
2 RespuestasMaybe what they mean by double xp is just raising the cap for a short time?

2 RespuestasMaybe it will double the xp cap. 4500 now :p
