Bungie forums pre-IB: "There's no grind, all the loot is given to us. How about actually giving us something to work for, you little worthless pieces of crap at Bungie?"
Bungie forums post-IB: "There's too much grind. All the loot is literally so hard to get, It's taking so long to get the gear? Why are you making us work so much for gear, you little worthless pieces of crap at Bungie?"

I mean the repeat loot is a bit ridiculous though you gotta admit. Same gun 9 times in a row with now armor dropped, somethings f**ky
-
The problem is the fixed rolls. At least before you could still get some cool stuff even if you struggled getting what you want. Now it's either you get what you want or it's dismantled into mats that are meaningless too.
Now it's either you get what you want or it's dismantled into mats that are meaningless too.
As if the all the rolls were that dreamy
-
I don't mind the grind, after 32/36 hours I have everything except the chest piece. Id gladly swap some of the 10+ fusion rifles I've had for it at this point.
-
Getting bad stuff is part of the grind that was there even when we had random rolls. It's inevitable.
-
But you still checked each drop. There was at least that slim hope each time that what you got was better than what you had. Now there is none of that. Just instant shards.
-
Aye I agree, my post was more just a vent with regards to the rng element in the hope the rng gods take pitty on me.
-
Oh, I see.

Editado por PW ROSS ANGELES: 10/12/2017 11:48:39 PMWe want guaranteed paths. Not rng hamster wheel garbage.
-
Literally random rolls were hamster wheel garbage. I'm not sure if you can't remember the 200 trash imago loops or the trash eyaslunas.
-
I remember. But rng hamster wheel for static gear is worse. At least we could buy some gear from venders in D1. Token slot machines is already tiresome
-
It's not the grind. I have put in around 20 hours in iron banner and don't have a full set on my titan and I am still missing a few of the weapons. We should be able to grind for 20 hours to get enough tokens to buy an armor set. And then another 10 or so to get the weapons. That's 30 hours in a week for gear. That's very reasonable. And 30 hours is winning 70% of your games.
-
This isn't the problem... It's frustrating getting the same shit when there's no different rolls, and every single effing hand canon is the same exact thing. Removing rolls was the worst thing they've ever done.
-
What's the difference between getting the same piece of gear and a crap roll? Neither is useful. Even with random rolls, people were getting useless pieces of gear you just pretended you weren't.
-
I made no such claim. Having shit roll after shit roll then finally getting that good one made the grind feel worth it. it also made me feel like I was at least a little more unique knowing barely anyone else got the same roll easily. I've argued with you on other posts around here before. Let's not get into this again.
-
Doesn't getting repeated items and then finally getting a new one simulate that satisfaction? I'm not sure there's really much of a difference, also I never felt unique for getting a crap gun. BTW, I'm pretty sure that "argument" was you yelling "fanboiiii" like a toddler on a temper tantrum, angry because someone told him he was wrong and used actual logic and reasoning.
-
Dude. You were being a total fanboi when it came to address issues everyone disagreed with you on. Regardless of that being my home thread. What you proclaim is "logic" simply was not. It made sense to you because you obviously agree with your own opinion. I got that right away from the very smug way you commented with a wall of bullet points on that thread about why the changes made in D2 are "So great." We're not gonna pick that one up again. I apologize for spazzing out on that. I was very wrong for coming at you in that manner, it was idiocy on my end. We can be reasonable here though and make mends. Let's talk about the issue at hand. - Simulating that satisfaction is not at all the same because there's even less to chase after at the end of the day. I can get a scout, then move onto wanting that pulse, then hand canon... Back then, I can get a demi-god roll, and say damn... Almost. if only this had hidden hand... Or outlaw in that slot then it would be a god roll. It required you to know the type of gun you were going for, exactly how to get it, and the chances of you getting it. I'll never forget my god roll grasp of Maloc. It was incredibly worth the grind, and I loved that I never found another person with one like it. Truly worthy of an endgame grind. There needs to be more variety is all.
