Destiny2- the only game where people complain about too much grind and not enough grind at the same time.

Tokens are worst, most boring form of grinding i think the Gaming Industry has ever seen. Destiny 1 rain of RNG Loot was 10x better than this crap.

Because Destiny has a diverse playerbase and isn't a hive mind? Grind is a very small subset of the playerbase, some players put a higher premium on thier free time, understandable when its finite and the most precious thing you possess. Reward for time balance is subjective but Bungie seems to lurch from one extreme to the other. Personally I would have kept D1 rolls but with D2 drop rates, Borderlands system was far superior in my opinion.

Forum dwellers are a subset of the playerbase that tends toward the negative, most lurk without comment till they see something they tend to strongly agree or disagree with. Bungie are well aware of the dynamics which is probably why they don't moderate as heavily as reddit. Swamps are important ecosystems too :)

In my experience its the same people a lot of the time. First they rant about no grind than they rant how they didnt get everything they wanted thiS IB.

Not sure its that simple without polling, some like grind, some hate pvp. Theres alot of variables and its impossible to please everyone. Saying that, without random rolls duplicates seem to be a real issue they need a better solution to.

The issue is the only "grinds" in the game are not worth the effort at all.

Back in D1 loved the grind countless taniks strike to get my cloak was kinda fun . Very few people could be arsed to get the cloak I looked amazing 😜 then some idiot thought Treasure keys Everyone then got the cloak so much for the D1 grind

Dunno. I like my titan helmet and tge IB pulse. Was worth for me. Looking forward to more armour and AR. Maybe next IB.

Idk how much you played but for only a single piece after playing for so much, I would assume it would be worth it. But when I look at all the generic armor perks in the game... Just underwhelmed. So the only reason I would even attempt to go for armor is... To flex lol. And I don't enjoy PvP enough in this game to put myself through that. If it was destiny 6v6 IB? I'd be down, would be hella fun to squad up with my shooters. But here its just wack, in my ever so humble opinion.

I just don't like playing 200 games (hyperbole) and getting 40 chest armors and a few auto rifles.

When I think of it people would complain less about duplicates if they could actually spend legendary shards on something.

This! I have so many shards and nothing to buy. In D1, I would run and buy a weapon from Dead Orbit or FWC and just try it out whether I like it or not. Here I have a pile of shards waiting for weekly spending at Xur if he has anything good to sell.
