What I see when I look at the Halo community is one that is suffering from a sense of toxic nostalgia. Sort of what did Mass Effect: Andromeda in.
Bungie bailed out because they knew that Halo's best days were behind it, and wanted to move on. Three-Four-Three got stuck with trying to breathe life and relevancy into a franchise that was past its prime.....
..and ran head-long into a community that stubbornly refused to allow them to change anything about the game Hell, I can still fire up videos on YouTube where you have peole who are still going on rants about "sprint" having been added to the game.
