Is Destiny 2 a joke from Bungie and they're just seeing how far they can push their fans?

All of the major problems with this game seem to make me think so. -No Dedicated Servers -No separated PVP and PVE Nerfs/Buffs -No story continuations or lore tie ups from D1 (The little that there were) -2 primary weapons.... The most laughably bad decision which is obviously also targeted to balance pvp and honestly butcher PVE, the setup should be as it is in literally every 3 slot game, Primary < Secondary < Heavy, seemingly gone are the days where we will ever do any damage close to the amount we could in the original game. This is going to effectively make it so bosses are either giant bullet sponges or the community will complain for 3 months before bungie acknowledges that fact and then another 3 for them to fix it, or every boss will be so dumb easy that a 5 year old can do it, think about raid encounters, those other slots were so integral in Destiny 1! Why have they done this!?? -No Grimoire, I'm sure Bungie is aware just how many hours people on YouTube and otherwise have took to delve into the lore of Destiny and explore this universe in their own understanding. -No new playable classes! If they aren't continuing with anything from Destiny 1 why are they not implementing new classes? I mean who would care at this point except everyone who wants diversity for this game. -Very limited skill trees, to add onto the last point I'd like to say what is the point of allowing us to have the titan bubble and shield etc for these classes when they don't have their own trees to build up that specific quality of that skill tree, Destiny 1 had it right, same for the weapon slot system! -No space battles or at least short ones playable in missions (Not the biggest issue but it's something fans have screamed for, FOR YEARS) -Absolutely no random weapon rolls whatsoever, another hugely lazy decision by bungie which I'm sure is also tied the no pvp/pve separation -_- -No explanation of valid entrance into Destiny 2, just a small cutscene at the start of homecoming with mediocre dialogue and seemingly oblivious freaking characters who didn't notice their satellites were destroyed hours before the Cabal even got anywhere near the tower, it's like they have 2 pothead lackies working the computers at the tower and they just didn't feel like it was important to tell the vanguard hey our satellites were destroyed by the Cabal.. -I hope you like "Dinklebot Defense Missions" as people said in Destiny 1 because it looks like a whole lot of that is coming back to Destiny 2. -Only 4 playable spaces at launch and a season pass already ready to go, I guarantee the dlc is already on the disc just as it was with Destiny 1, by the end of the first 2 weeks or month you'll find people who have beaten everything the game gives you on Destiny 2 and they'll be glitching into areas that the game didn't give you. Luke Smith "But we're up against a deadline" yeah okay. < Literally the worst possible spokesperson for Destiny 2, possibly worse than Deej. I honestly can't think of much else right now but this is all of the major problems with the game in my opinion. -You know Destiny was originally going to have two primary weapons? Everyone wanted it to be as it was shown, so Bungie added it. -"No new grimoire", are you intentionally being ignorant. I'm not saying that to be sassy, but it just seems like it. No one liked how grimoire was outside of the game, so Bungie added TWO different story oriented quests types specifically for this. First, there is World Quest, focusing on things that happened in the actual game. Second, there are Adventures which explains what the enemies are doing in the area. They have even been called "mini-stories." -No new classes? If you didn't notice, pretty much the only difference between classes was Subclasses and stats(which you can change with armor now.) They wanted to make it so one class wasn't ridiculously better then the others. -The reason the skill trees aren't as long as they used to be is because you can change your stats with armor, the parts involving stats are the only parts taken out of the skill tree. -Have you played the full game yet? No, you haven't. Regardless, space battles are kind of over saturated now and that isn't even seem like it would be that fun. Overall, this was just a weak point. It's like saying Arkham Knight was a bad game because you couldn't drive the Bat. -The fact that you think random weapon rolls is a horrible thing is almost comedic. First, off it makes you want to look for a specific weapon, rather then grinding hours for a specific roll. This makes the game feel less grindy. Even completely ignoring that point, there will be many weapons in Destiny 2. That will most definetly keep the weapons diverse. -Since you did two-points here, so will I. The first one makes me question if you're a troll because of how obvious this one is. Guardians need to go out on patrol all the time. It's obvious we could've just been coming back from a patrol or scouting mission. -As for your second point, it looks like this was just so you could really take the piss. Regardless, we have no way to know the amount of time it was. What if they had the satellites destroyed right before they attacked? What if they had transmitters to trick them? Plus, there isn't going to be an alert saying "You just had your satellites destroyed by the Cabal." Also, they probably check the satellites every hour or so. The reason they would just notice that is because they clearly say the Skyline defense system has gone dark. -Alright, so the only mission and strike we've been shown, hasn't done this once. Yes, you scanned it real quick and then you have to kill enemies to proceed. But the ghost has never scanned it for more then five seconds so far. I'm honestly baffled how you came to this conclusion. -The first Destiny came with four areas at first as well, just addressing that. Here's the real point, have you seen pictures of the map for Nessus? It's blam-ing massive and has all of these nodes across the whole thing. There are three more areas, and I'm pretty sure they'll have just as much if not more as Nessus. -Oh, lucky me, another point to break down. I don't know where this whole "DLC already on the disc," thing came from but I've never seen any of that, ever. There was the Elite Captain, but that wasn't even part of HoW. Glitching into areas isn't the same thing either. In fact, they probably think if stuff they can do with that unused area when they're working on DLC. -Here we go, final two. Bungie has said that they had to tweak the progression system because they have so much content, that at one point players were at max level before they could even finish all of the content. A little of research could've saved you not looking like you don't research at all. -This final "point" hurts me so much I actually face palmed. So, because he says there up against a deadline, means he's a bad spokesperson. He's telling the truth and not saying lies? How scandalous. All game companies are on deadlines. What is wrong with saying that? All I can say is, you really didn't look into and reinforce any of your bullet points at all.

      • I think what op is saying is that this game lacks innovation. This is a AAA title in 2017 that's still using legacy console specs even tho they claim that was holding them back. For 3 long years the community was -blam!-ing adamant about destinys shitty netcode. And what do they do? Absolutely nothing but bring it back under the guise they actually changed something. Then again it makes perfect sense when you live in a corporate fascist society.

          • You and a portion of the community only see what you feel is wrong with the game, how it doesn't suit your style of play . You fail at imagining how the changes could improve the game. Only thing that really matters is: is this game going to be as fun and addicting as the first one? And can they improve on that? You can nitpick at what you think are flaws all you want. But in the end bungie is making another great game, maybe even game of the year.

          • No it's not a joke. It's a game, people you don't know made, who didn't put a single ounce of your personal input into. Becahse they dont know you, and you dont work there. They release the game. Then as a consumer, you get to decide if you want to buy it or not. It's really not that difficult to understand.

            • I really don't see a problem with not having dedicated servers. Also there isn't two primary weapon slots.

              • I totally applaud all the hours Bungie programmers spent on this game and I wish it the best an opinion For all the kids and when I say kids I'm including all the 4 to the 100 year olds. Who cry like feeding babies..(except those 80 yos w curple tunnel) Who have to complain about the games difficulty(which is nonexistent) to stop making this game so easy that it's boring g to play.. Its so sad how much Destiny has become a shell of its former self. All the nerfs kids cry about because they don't want a learning curve no they want everything so easy and bungie not caring to see how this makes their Game ... which should be difficult to start of... look like a bullet spunge Simulation because no they can't add tactics our kids will cry oh no we Can't add complicated boss battles cause Kids Will leave Well let Them leave And Attract A Fan base worthy of the Name bungie. Nowadays Destiny is a joke amongst many people for how easy it is and how that ease leads to such 6hour story mode campaign. Making it a joke. Don't get me. Wrong if you hadn't noticed I like. Nay love use to love this game waiting for its release was much wanted but as the years passed and the nerfs  And the false pretense of bungie has dried a lot of that desire. You want. Destiny to be what it can be and should be then bungie needs to deliver a real game and not A beta game. With few. Nerfs (only truly. Needed ones) and changes but Its difficult meter should be  largely increased. So what if people cry and complain how hard it is. Stop making a challenging game poppycock to the point of it being a ridicule. Even telling people you play destiny feels sad because even call of duty had(had) a great gaming model until they started to listening to corporate heads thinking they know what kids want. Instead of realizing only money on their minds. Well  a good game delivers on its promise and a 6 hour stry campaign isn't just. Sad is laughable. Bungie should have learned from all its new rebirth pains since losing all their former team and failing to deliver. This is their last chance.. Bungie have reservation.. have guts.. and have that honor to be called bungie again and remind people. That bungie isn't just  Jason statem but a brand to keep and worthy to Deliver an actual triple A game. One That can go down the history of games. So bungie stop. Settling in giving kids what they want .. deliver on the experience.. people should have and feel fulfilled after finishing a tough strike or even harder nightfall.. That's what makes games memorable the experience not Which gun you used to kill a boss but the actual experience of feeling overwhelmed by the game which is challenging you to step up and think of how to overcome.   Sadly history will tell and all we can do is wait. So bungie please don't settle.. Strive to make history.

                • Just because their view of where their game should go is different from your view of how they should make their game, does not make it filled with mistakes. And personally, as a predominantly PvE player, I like the weapon changes. And I remember reading, perhaps in Edge?, that bosses won't be shoot shoot shoot kill, and it will be more phased. So you deal damage, then deal with a phase, then deal damage again. Akin to Oryx probably. Or perhaps Aksis in the sense that most of the fight is doing different mechanics while not dying. We don't know anything about endgame. Your ranting is ranting with less than half of the necessary information.
