I'd like to say on behalf of any gamer who still believes that solving difficult sometimes timely problems is more reason to respect a game than dumbing it down..... YOU KILLJOY UNILATERAL HUMAN BYSTANDERS ARE THE LAZIEST, MOST THOUGHT DEPRIVED, SKILL LESS LOUDMOUTHED BLANK SPACES IN THE VOID BETWEEN OBSESSIVE COMPLETIONISTS AND PLAYERS WHO LIKE CHALLENGE IN THEIR GAMES. YOU ARE TOO PRECIOUS TO WIPE TO SOLVE A PROBLEM? GO NOT LEARN SOMEWHERE ELSE

      • Agreed 100%. How could anyone think that was hard?! If they pander to that, and make the game "easier"....then that would be a good reason to not play it. Not because it is "too difficult"....pfffffffttt. Bungie, this is to you..... Please create the game that you want to create! Do not dumb it down, and do not make anything different than you want it to be! There are always going to be complainers and gripers ( I am one at times), but you will never know satisfaction from this game...or any other...if you constantly try to please everyone. "To thine own self be true." Make YOUR game...if some people don't like it, they don't have to play it. PLEASE do not leave out these types of things...or any other.

      • lol you know those complaining about its "difficulty" never played games like Mist or other games with puzzles. Hell, I remember a couple of puzzles in Dragon Age: Origins that weren't hard, but you did have to slow your roll and actually think a little. These incidents can be an unfortunate byproduct of making something mainstream (or more mainstream than previous). But hopefully Bungie won't go too overboard with simplifying things. I said, HOPEFULLY. By the time the game releases, most will have forgotten about this. Until they get to that part. Then we'll think back, laugh a bit and then forget about. The community will focus its rage-gaze onto something else. Ah, good times with the internet. Happy gaming, everyone!

        • I mean if we have no jump ability because it is the first mission then it could super hard. In the Beta we have full subclasses. But.that is before Gary takes our light. So idk.

        • You do know that the beta was an old version of the game. They already had changed the turbines before they launched the beta. So it doesn't matter if people complained about it or not. Personally I thought it was fricken easy. But thats just me.

        • the 2nd turbine has't been in the game for a while, luke smith was actually suprised that the turbine was in the beta.

        • Please go back and re-read that polygon article. The turbine hasn't had 2 arms for months, as the beta is an old build. Bungie changed it before the beta was released, and collectively forgot about the twin turbine arms because it was old news to them. The change has nothing to do with people finding the platforming difficult.

            I get it was changed before the beta was released, but in all honestly, it wasn't that hard. I died like three times before figuring it out and that is because I jumped at the wrong times. I mean all you had to do was shoot the one right below you and then wait for the marker to pop up on screen to tell you where to go. From there it was just a simple matter of timing your fall to miss the first one and then walking in the same direction as the second one. If I had to guess the "Destiny veterans" they talked about in the article must have only started playing video games with Destiny because any experienced gamer should have been able to figure it out. Its not like you had to figure out how to play a song on a ocarina or navigate a labyrinth.

            Uhhh... you read the [i]whole[/i] article, right? Cuz, if you did, you'd know that it didn't get changed because anyone in the community complained. It was changed [b][u]**BEFORE**[/u][/b] we even got to play the beta. They removed the second "spinning arm" in that section, long before the beta was released. We didn't even get a chance to complain. The only reason that there were two "spinning arms" in the beta, is because we were playing an old build. I swear. I really honestly don't think anyone read that whole article. This is the second post on this that I've seen, blaming the community, like it's the community's fault that it was changed. It's almost like they just heard that part was changed, and think that if they blame it on the community, they feel like people will think they're cool, or something. I don't know, like... "Oh, this guy likes a challenge, and is mad at the players that complained about it. I bet he's awesome at games!" If the beta that we had gotten to play, had been a more updated version of the game, nobody would have even known that second arm had been there before, to begin with; except the devs. Sorry to burst your bubble, but... [b]IT WAS ALREADY CHANGED BEFORE THE BETA RELEASED. IT WAS NOT CHANGED DUE TO THE COMMUNITY. THE ONLY ONES YOU CAN BLAME ARE THE DEVS.[/b] [spoiler]I Honestly don't know why I even wrote this. If they didn't take the effort to read the whole of the original article about this, they're surely not going to read my entire post.               • Luke Smith said he was surprised when he played the beta that it was in there as they had already changed it before the beta. So what is the post even about? That was 2 days after the pre order bonus for the PS4.

                • Damn rage much. I get what your saying those who want a doom like game well go make your own. It's actually been proven that video games help with hand eye cordination and play games that have puzzles or just some type of timing mechanisms mechanic allow the thinking process to help with many thing including how to spend time doing useless shit. But if this is true and someone really did run there mouth about timing your jump right so you don't get hit by something then you sir are a dumbass PvP player go back to cod,battlefield, or overwatch you talentless human. About as worse as actually trying to find a girl instead of trying your luck with that random cute girl you would rather a dating site mess you up pathetic. Also none of this is pointed towards the author of this post it's those who commented with anything but agreeing that it was stupid to complain about a very simple mechanic of gameplay.

                    • I did. Not because it was too difficult but because it was unclear what to damage. Turbines didn't need a nerf. They needed a marker or obvious design. If everything looks similar the first one needs to be obvious. The other 2 can be hunted for. The spinners were fun. Had to time it right.
