No one has the right to serve in the military just because they desire to serve. The military is not an equal opportunity employer. Those who wish to join must be physically, mentally and emotionally stable and strong. They must meet certain standards for their MOS and their service branch. If they can’t meet these standards they should be shown the door.
The social engineers believe this bountiful bouquet of diversity and compassion in the military is somehow making the military stronger. In contrast, anyone who has served and particularly those who have served in combat know that the US military is on the verge of a Number One Breakdown.
All of this nonsense is a total distraction from the real mission of the military, which is to defend the nation and when called upon to wage war and win those wars. The mission of the military is not to provide artificial penis surgery for the squad dyke who wants to look like Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad.

Vet here...I just came to see all the people who haven't served tell me whats best for a community they haven't the slightest clue about. I could care less either way, so long as it doesn't influence the mission or the ability to succeed in combat.

Editado por burritosenior: 7/29/2017 5:39:04 PMOn a serious note, the surgery to actually change genders was never and would never be paid for by the government as you state. That is considered an elective surgery which means the individual would have to pay for it out of pocket. In addition, guidance that the Squadron levels have been given states for both the surgery and the hormone therapy, Commander approval must be obtained. The commander of the unit has the right to say no if either of those things would impact their ability to execute the mission, such as their deployment bucket approaching. So there is no distraction from the mission because current policy makes it so they can't do it if it distracts from the mission. The government isn't paying for surgeries. Just to clear up the ignorance I'm seeing around, joking or not.

17 RespuestasEditado por masterchief A10: 7/29/2017 6:01:05 PMI am for the ban for a few reasons: one, the cost to compensate for the transgender medical costs (hormone treatment and surgery, only things related to transgender problems) would be tremendous at the current enlistment rate. 8.2 million a year just for the trans medical costs according to a study done by the RAND corporation. We can buy thousands of weapons or an M1 Abrams tank every other year with that money and I know what I would rather the military spend that money on. Second, because transgender troops require frequent hormone treatment and are 2x more likely to get infections if they had the surgery, they could become a liability on the battlefield. The hormones they need constantly need to be kept safe and refrigerated and when that's not possible (which would likely happen a lot) the transgender troops would go into withdrawal endangering themselves and their fellow troops. The final topic I will cover is more points then a problem: the military deems who is fit for service and people do not have a right to serve, it is a privilege. Also think about this: if flat footed people and people with diabetes (who's insulin problem is extremely similar to the transgender hormone problem in regards to accessibility) are excluded from the military then why should transgender people with more health problems than them be allowed to serve? We need to stop catering to the transgender community and treat them like normal people, and if a normal person had health problems that would cause trouble in the military then they should be excluded.

A lot of numbers and stats being used in arguments below me. Please, post a link or something. I can easily just type "Yeah, a single trans costs 8.2 billion dollars to care for in the military" -Robert E. Lee And it could be the most truthful thing I've posted, but I have no real evidence other than some shit I pulled out of my ass.
Is it too late to just reset our government and choose someone else?
5 Respuestas
All of this nonsense is a total distraction from the real mission of the military, which is to brainwash people into believing they are anything but pawns of the United States' geopolitical agenda.
FTFY The concerns all surround the mental stability of transgender individuals, when realistically most of the people in the military could receive the same criticism for being so easily mislead into believe the modern military serves to protect. Truthfully, it is delusional, and it is the fault of our government for masquerading themselves beneath layers of propaganda rather than actual reason.

You're rustling a shit ton of jimmies with this post. Good job 👍🏽 On another note, as someone who served 10yrs, I really don't care about this particular subject. As a submariner, we were an exclusive all male community for over a century until some congresswoman got a hair up her ass about female equality back in 2008. Who knew women wanted to volunteer for submarine duty? Shit, most men I know wouldn't want to do that. "If the wheel ain't broke, don't fix it"

29 RespuestasEditado por Cultmeister: 7/28/2017 7:50:15 AMThe military spends $84 million on erectile dysfunction treatment, whereas transgender treatment is estimated at between 2.4 and 8.4 million. But yes it's transgender surgery that needs to go. Last I checked, the US wasn't being invaded and ISIS are still being pushed back, so honestly I don't know what you mean when you say the military isn't working just because it has a few transgender people in it.

The trans genders who already are in the military clearly meet the standard because they passed their evaluations. You're making it seem like trans genders just get a free pass when it comes to evaluations. You should just close this thread lol
