The Purple Ball isn't coming back in D2...
Let us all mourn the passing of the almighty Purple Ball. Most likely the 2nd most important sphere in Destiny. It will be missed.
Let us not forget when it was born, it wasn't shiny, it was a regular ball. Then on April 14, 2015, Patch 1.1.2 deployed. It made the Purple Ball our new leader.
Since then, we've played with it, kicked it around, balanced on it, and those saying "I'd rather side with the Darkness", kicked it out of the Tower.
But the Purple Ball will disappear with the Tower soon. The Red Legion will take two of our beloved spheres. We must avenge the ball, for that is what matters.
