I don't think Bungie day has been relevant and noteworthy since Halo Reach. Since then its just been some PR blog or short clip as a 'oh yeah' thing. With Destiny in particular they've just been riding out this moment of truimph stuff, big whoop. I mean back then we'd get stuff like a free downloadable map for Halo 3 or helmets on fire (which was pretty big for Halo at the time), even in depth vidocs about their current or next project done in a passionate way, an app released for the first time on mobile which had an incentive to use for in-game impact. I'd probs argue that it reached its peak around 2011 and since then its just another oh its a 'community thing' thats totally worth missing out on. Not the type of thing you and your mates go on party chat and say, we all have to be on x game this day because something special could happen and we want first dibs. I'd bet that its probs going to be about detail regarding Destiny 2's beta this time round, I'm not that fussed. I remember back in the Halo 3 days though, I had this E74 error on my xbox and Bungie day was coming up and most of my mates and I were hyped up like crazy, I tore apart my x360 and re thermal pasted that shit to get it working again just for Bungie day, man the community was on fire during this period and it was just a blast playing during this time, with the bungie halo playlist, my x360 only lasted a week after the repaste lol but it was completely worth it. I don't think I can remotely say this would be anything close to this level of impact this time around. The atmosphere built up around it mixed with the current state of Destiny just won't allow for it. Tbf they had a real chance to really kick this one of the ballpark again with Destiny Y1 back when the community was at full strength, but it was a missed opportunity. From a community management standpoint PoV that was a real wasted moment and the subsequent series of existing failures from then on out just goes to show how out of touch the people who would be responsible for these things to happen are and continue to be. Its why if you're not a gamer but are put in charge of these things, you're just unknowingly depriving your own community because you don't understand the impact it can make on the gamers long-term, who as a whole, want the game to succeed.

For 1 day only, exotics can be equipped in every slot at the same time. Now that would be awesome. One day of total carnage in pvp and pve.

Xur should be posted at the top of the climbable portion of felwinter peak right next to skeletor. He should also present a challenge for you: To jump back down to ground level and beat his time up the mountain for a discount on ALL exotics in the game but when you actually beat it, you get a yr 1 nlb with no sight system on it and actually just fires an audio clip of deej saying "Your move" and he kicks you off the cliff, sending you to the shadow realm.
