Was I the only guy that was looking forward to AC next big game? I feel like between all these Anthem threads and Xbox One X threads I should mention that a game franchise which kind of lost it's directions as of late now feels like it has shown some promising gameplay.
The world is set in Egypt this time. There is horseback gameplay similar to AC Brotherhood which was one of my favorite AC games. It looks really detailed and that is what I like to see. The Assassin himself looks like he has a lot more animations and can shoot his bow in the air. That was pretty sick. I am definitely getting this game. Then again I get all Assassin's Creed games. Last two I picked up on sale for basically a few dollars.
Edit: The more I see of this game, the more I am impressed. Here are things you may have missed in the gameplay reveal.

Video - 8 Ways Assassin’s Creed Origins Breaks The Rules [/b] - Misleading title, shows a lot of stuff you may have missed. A lot of things are wrong in this video so just ignore the stupidity. There is a Map just not a minimap. he icons have been in the game I think since the last one. But shows a lot of cool stuff, like the combat for example is more like Dark Souls/Bloodborne.

1 RespuestaI honestly want a fantasy egypt. Walking mummies, anubis and ra. And kefri.

6 RespuestasI dislike two things so far. The controllable eagle concept. Even if the eagle can spot enemies, how the hell does it communicate that to Bayek? Second, that controllable arrow! That makes absolutely no sense nor does it have anything to back it up. How does Bayek control it? Special power like eagle vision, or is it like the weapons of Eden?

1 RespuestaI loved it at first, then I saw a gear rating and got scared

1 RespuestaI thought black flag was the only good game in the series so I definitely won't spend 60 bucks but when it goes on sale for 30 maybe

6 RespuestasLast shot for Ubisoft for me. Loved the AC games but the last 2 sucked in my opinion.

Editado por Vgnut: 6/14/2017 5:15:46 AMLooks good I suppose? I don't know. Personally I'm just exhausted by the franchise. There are many more exciting games coming out this Fall.

1 RespuestaFirst time I've been excited for an assassin's Creed game. I love the new rpg mechanics in it, I feel I won't get quite as bored as the last few I played.

1 RespuestaCan we get some baked beans on this thread?

4 RespuestasGood God Ubisoft is completely out ideas on what to do. This is going to be a major let down again

1 RespuestaThe AC games have been good but ever since Desmond died I've wondered where the plots going
-
I'll pick it up, because I've enjoyed all the AC games.

Looked great. I'm definitely excited for it.

3 RespuestasAll looks good and well. They definitely seem to be going for a more rpg-esque game than a simple action-adventure game. Combat looks fairly different, almost like dark souls or wit her now. Those animations are a bit too jumpy imo but no complaints on the combat itself otherwise. Really I just hope to see the return of AC multiplayer in this game. Its an instant purchase from me if it's there.

Combat doesn't look too great although I'm guessing it'll be much more polished by release. I hope, other than that I just hope to god I can change that abysmal outfit. I understand why he's dressed like that but damn do I plan on changing it.

7 RespuestasI'll be honest here, it seems like Ubisoft ripped off assets from Zelda, Horizon and Witcher. Since the stealth has been made optional the major appeal of an AC game is gone for me. So I might give it a shot after Zelda's winter DLC, Witcher and Horizon. By then hopefully Ubi has fixed the bugs with which they ship their games.

The combat looks a bit clunky but otherwise i'm happy

11 RespuestasDidn't like the fighting. They said they were using Witcher 3 mechanics, the horse riding looked familiar and the dashing but I was expecting a head to fly off someone's shoulders. Plus during fights it looked clunky if that's the word for it. Some of the hits look like they didn't register right and when he had his shield up and was hit, it didn't look right. Hopefully they polish it up really nice. Also didn't like that ability, arc bow. Seriously, an arrow you can control on your own... AC was never that type of game, it was more realistic if anything.
-
11 RespuestasDepends. If I'm going to be stuck with story overriding gameplay as it has for every AC since AC3 it's not getting my money. I can just imagine a main "mission" where you tow blocks to the pyramids.

I'm very excited for it but I don't know if I'll have the Christmas money to get this...planning on getting Star Wars Battlefront 2 and some other stuff...eh at least AC3 was free for gold this month.

It was only a matter of time until they did Egypt -- it's kinda the logical place to take the series both for the protagonists (slaves and freedom!) and the antagonists (conspiracy theories, pyramids, and eyes).
