This needs to stop happening...
In Destiny 2, can you stop basing weapon "balances" on Trials of Osiris? I know you consider it your most "competitive" gamemode but not everyone who plays the game is a weekend try hard, never seen throughout the weekdays, kind of players. This is of course if you do bring trials or osiris into Destiny 2.
Can you also stop with the blanket nerfs and large balance patches? I think people in the community will understand if you try out a small change to a weapon and see how it's use changes. If the changes aren't what you wanted, revert the change and approach it from a different angle.
Also remember to keep PvE players in mind 100% of the time. They will definitely be your largest community base. Don't bend over to the will of a select group of sweaty players because they come across something slightly unfair about a particular weapon, at a particular point on the map in PvP.
Keep the game fun rather than trying to be the most competitive.

Exotics aside (I believe they do need to feel exotic), have you honestly been like, gosh, "this" archetype of weapon has too much recoil, or has too little range, or should do 2 more damage? No, you haven't. Because, All you need in PvE is something to shoot with and some fun enemies to shoot at. I do not think there is a single thing you could point out, aside from exotics, that have impacted your playstyle due to PvP patches. If there is anything, please point it out. I see people complaining about this issue often, but they don't ever give any examples.

1 RespuestaLazy blanket nerfs have killed the game. TLW and Thorn too powerful? Nerf all hand cannons. Suros too powerful? Nerf all autos. (And leave them in the dumpster for over a year and a half) Bungie acknowledged the fact that usage charts are the only things that apparently matter to them when they added in Matador the first time. Shotguns too powerful? Blanket nerf. Shotguns too powerful again? Blanket nerf. Oh look, low-impact shotguns suck absolute dick now. Blanket nerf! Matador is too powerful! Again! Oh, let's blanket nerf on a scale we've never done before and take away special ammo! Done.

Theirs only been truly a handful of things in PVP that needed to be adjusted.

This is exactly why Pvp need to be separated from pve. It's sucking the enjoyment out of this game by bungie being so stubborn to keep both game modes linked. And to use lore as a reason to keep both play modes linked is totally asinine. Both players will be burned by stupid nerfs until both game modes are separated. [spoiler]seriously bungie. Get your head out your ass and separate this shit already[/spoiler]

In all of Bungie's efforts to encourage primary gun usage and prevent specials in the game it's only gotten farther and farther from it. Day after day it's more and more wormwoods, nlb's, stickies, and shoulder charge. They have nerfed the most favorite guns (I mean they basically removed TLW'S exotic perk, they don't feel exotic anymore), and given grenades more aim assist than Defiance of Aim As- sorry, Yasmin. Maybe stop nerfing everything and actually just BUFF things. Increase damages across the board a little bit to make things a bit more on par with sidearm with a ttk resembling that of TLW

I hear ya man but if it was not already evident in the reveal, bungie thinks they have the next counter strike on their hands. There going full on competitive with d2. 4v4 only modes. More gun skill, less spam involved etc...seems more like rainbow six then destiny.

100% agreed. Whether it's Trials or just regular pvp, pve players suffer from most of the needless nerfs done because of pvp players not being able to sit still and shut up once in a while.

19 RespuestasWithout PVP Destiny would have been done a long time ago, without PVP COD would have been done a long time ago. OMG I can do raids in my sleep with blue guns because they are so predictable. PVP puts a human e,element in the game so it's not as predictable. Sure same sniping lanes and so on but it's not a mindless acolyte on the other end. Seriously, PVE is for the brain dead. I went flawless just once and it was probably the highlight of playing the game. I agree Bungie has screwed things up time and time again ... it's like the decision makers don't even play the game. Special ammo change ... GJ bungie ... let's all use ammo regen weapons now.... Idiots.

For example, If Thorn is being a pain in everyones side (see what i did there) then they can leave it as is for PvE but in PvP they can shorten the DoT and so on. So with this said, Hopefully (unless game breaking) all nerfs that are done in D2 will now only be for PvP. So that should hopefully be amazing.

74 RespuestasPvP= HARD. Playing other people who maneuver and shoot back is hard. PvE= EASY. I have never played a piece of content that was challenging. Other players (mostly the PvE only crowd I assume) suck so bad it makes encounters artificially hard because you have to rely on said poor teammates. NEVER have a met a gun at current light I could not use to great effect in PvE (that mode where enemies stand in one spot letting you shoot them). However, go into crucible with a Vex or Hardlight, good luck. So in other words, who cares? PvE is so easy nerfing guns may even dare I say, make it more fun?
