Especially when your company grossed 6 BILLION alone last year.
Face it. We're in for the same connection shit storm that plagued both pvp and pve. But hey atleast we have in game match making and treasure hunts!
Edit: Trending, yay
Edit: Still trending. Coz baby let's get pizza
Edit: can y'all please start using some logic for your argument? It's 2017 there's literally no excuse for your stupidity anymore.

Editado por Vorpal Trooper: 5/21/2017 4:52:53 AMIn 200 hours of gaming, i think I saw servers go down 3 times maybe (which happens) and lag like twice. So im ok with it as is. Sorry for the rest of yall

They decided not to have dedicated servers. Valid reason to me.
-
4 RespuestasThe reasoning seems fairly obvious in that the amount of servers you need in the long run is probably half of what you need at launch. Which means you let servers crash at launch, or spend way more than you need on servers. In a game with a ttk so long, it doesn't seem worth it. If their netcode wasn't shit, P2P wouldn't matter in this game. The real question is why they aren't fixing their coding, as the PvP clips available to watch on YouTube seem to show the same steady latency of D1

PVP is what it is. Bungie/activision don't need an excuse. They don't wanna spend the money on dedicated servers, end of story. So now we all know destiny 2 will be without dedicated servers and anyone who chooses to play PVP will know that before hand. Pretty simple actually. Don't get me wrong, I understand it would make PVP a lot more enjoyable, game play should be smoother and finding a match would be quicker. I understand your point but it's not up to us. Bungie will do what they want and if you choose to purchase the game KNOWING this and play PVP anyways then there's nothing to complain about later. Here it is May 2017, if in sept 2017 PVP is once again laggy and buggy and all the things we have become accustomed to then it's on those of us who chose to play it.

+1 . This was incredibly disappointing.
-
2 RespuestasNot to mention the fact that Microsoft offers free dedicated servers to game developers using their Azure cloud platform. Hearing about not having dedicated servers makes me want to wait and see how it all plays out instead of pre ordering.
-
4 RespuestasPeople act like having dedicated servers = 0% lag. Just wait until some guy with 900 ping rolls into the game and you'll know true suffering.
-
Hell yeah, truth.
-
OMFG!!! I just found out about this and came straight to the forums! I fu(king hate being right about this but I called it! I can't believe this shit! It's such fu(king bullshit! Bungie just honestly go fu(k yourselves you fu(king assholes! Seriously No 6v6 pvp, no 60 fps and no dedicated servers God only knows what else you assholes fu(cked us over on?! I'm done with these sellout fu(king pieces of shit! I had high hopes for this game but bungie continues to shit all over it! I love to raid but I love Crucible even more and I will not put myself through all the fu(king lag and rage fest that it is for another 4 fu(king years! I feel so ripped off right now!!!
-
I mean, doesn't bother me. I rarely lag if ever in Destiny. So it wouldn't effect me.
-
2 RespuestasAgreed - I just called Microsoft and got my money back on D2. I'm not willing to go through another 3-years of the connection crap we just endured.
-
If DICE can make a game with multiple servers and a 64 player count maybe bungie should learn from them
-
Amen! It'll be especially great when your team of 4 drops to 3 because someone lags out or your playing two red bar warriors in the new 4vs4 ...or should I say 2vs4 PVP mode. Thx Bungie

1 RespuestaNo dedicated servers= no $$$ from me and my son. Thanks for the mostly fun three years of gameplay.

2 RespuestasEditado por mja calg: 5/20/2017 9:37:26 PMI will not put up with 3+ more years of these laggy and lag switched crucible matches such as: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Bs33FfNt5Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaGmPCIW_6Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGSwbFM4lEk I will not put up with this in Strikes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDoFqCUHdwU either. I'm sure all of us that have Raided, have had those cases where 1 or more people have weak internet and then the game turns into a fecal storm of teleporting unkillable enemies and broken game mechanics (thrown bombs hit but don't register, platforms don't spawn in etc etc.). As much as I have enjoyed the game, I will not spend another 276 game days suffering through this again. I will not buy Destiny 2 unless they have dedicated Host Servers for all Shared Activities. You want me to spend money on this game, you have to have proper infrastructure so all of us can enjoy it. Edit: I corrected one duplication of the youtube videos.

5 RespuestasDon't care. Just separate crucible into two areas which would fix multiple issues. 1. Lobby for adults using wired connections 2. Lobby for kids using wifi 50 feet and one storey away from their console.

6 RespuestasDoes this mean you'll leave now or stay and whine for another 3 years?

2 RespuestasEditado por STEVE NEUROTIC: 5/20/2017 7:32:32 PMFrom the tech my ISP sent who came the other day to upgrade our service and happened to be a gamer. "I quit playing Destiny right before dark below came out because Bungie/Activision is too damn cheap to invest in dedicated servers and I got sick of the lag and disconnects. Until they catch up with the times and switch to dedicated servers I won't be buying another Bungie/Activision game. Btw I hate how they blame peoples connections when it's their fault. I have 300mbs speed with a $200 gaming router and I'm a tech for the ISP so it's NOT my problem."

2 Respuestas"Not a worthwhile investment" "We listen to our players." 3 years of pain, sweat and tears....everyone wanted this! -blam!-ing logic trough the roof right here!
-
4 RespuestasYou sir are a moron, no excuse...NO EXCUSE!!!! What's wrong with you? Activision corporate needs that money to provide bonuses and new exotic cars for their mistresses. Lmao, dedicated servers my ass...I was just kidding about the moron part. I agree, dedicated servers should be a must.

6 RespuestasEditado por BIGwillestylz: 5/20/2017 5:20:51 PMGuys you do realize you're basically going to be sold the same game as original destiny right? I mean bungie has half assed everything about this franchise and WE still bought it and played it. They screwed us out of a raid with the house of wolves dlc no one cared. People who bitched about it were called trolls and cancer. Meanwhile bungie is who lied to us. The more you guys continue to support a piss poor company the more they will -blam!- you blind. They don't even give a -blam!- that it's 30 fps. Watch what pc gamers do they will be like -blam!- this game. You guys need to wise up. If you don't understand the phrase "you have to stand for something or you will fall for anything" bungie will prey on you.

Dedicated servers would be great, but I don't need them to have fun in the game.
