Anyone else a bit, underwhelmed?
Sure parts looked cool.
I would have liked more than 4 planets.
Only 3 supers? Destiny one started with 6 and ended up at 9.
I was a bit worried as well, he said destiny 2 has a brand new strike. Singular.
I'll give it more time, but this felt like a destiny 1 expansion.

Vanilla Destiny only had 1 strike in beta. We got more on launch. Plus Destiny 2 will have dungeons and Dreadnaught like secrets in the patrol zones. Why are so many under the impression that the first Destiny 2 reveal was going to show us everything? That's not how Bungie has ever done reveals.

So many trolls/morons treating this reveal like a full-blown in-depth review. E3 hasn't even come to pass yet. Just be patient, play the beta, watch the 8 minute session at E3 and any other reveals they do and then decide. Don't jump to conclusions and speculation when we know almost nothing.

Not underwhelmed. Overwhelming hype detected. Besides there are 6 supers. Poledancer, Gunslinger, Void Shield Man, Striker, Dawnblade, and going by the trend at least one other.

I'm underwhelmed as well, not so much from what they showed us or the classes, but at the hinted-at lack of end game material. People left Destiny in droves after the first month or so because they were BORED. With one raid (supposedly easier since now not only host levels can do it now according to them) unless they changed the rules you can only get loot from it once a week. And raids are the biggest attractors for people who finish everything else, especially people who hate pvp like me. Even if there are a few nightfalls if we are lucky that only extends to a few more missions. I thought for sure Bungie wouldn't make this mistake again, but it looks like they are :( The last thing that irked me was the new weapons system. Basically they don't want us having 3 elemental weapons anymore, 1 slot has to be kinetic, wtf? People were excited because "you can switch then now and can use multiple of the same weapons!" Woopty doo... now I go through ammo real fast. And you can switch your weapons NOW (although with an ammo penalty for whatever reason). I don't know that I'll care for it unless we can use multiple exos. A few things I would have been excited for was a new playable race, possibility of flying in ship, and a real match making system, not this weird clan stuff. Lastly, they said they wouldn't handle DLC the same way this time bit it looks like it will be the exact same, what is different?

It looks like overwatch to me.dont know why but looks to "clean" to me. Hopefully the actual game will be more gritty dark with environmental effects etc............

2 RespuestasLooked like a great event, but after the smoke cleared i was not blowed away either. No 60fps on console...boo New subclasses, particularly the hunter was...meh Did they ever confirm dedicated servers, or did I miss something? A couple of cool things (updated graphics), but that's bout it. It's hard to imagine 4 years in, and with a 2nd gen platform in place, we could end up with the same laggy mess...but nothing announced assured me that we wouldn't. So IDK 🤔

1) That was the early release, plus each planet odds supposed to be much more immersive and large-scale. 2) Again, BETA. We saw the three that have been totally finished, gloss-coated, and are ready to roll. 3) Remember what we're seeing here. Initial, pre-release everyone stuff. One strike is totally polished and ready.

No Mars, No Moon, no Saturn, no venus, no mercury, no reef. They're going to slowly roll out content just like in D1. By the time the 4th DLC comes out, it'll feel like a complete game. But by that time, most of the population will be gone. You can't sell a game that is meant to be massive and immersive as a shell and barenones and slowly fill it up. You have to sell it jam packed with content and then make completely new DLC along the way to give the players even more.

Looks like crucible is going to be p2p on console, my biggest frustration/gripe is p2p, most other games don't do that. 4v4 is okay for some modes, but is a little restrictive over all Imo. Frame rate is locked at 30fps on console. Not impressed

Here's how I think supers will be: 3 subclasses per character like it is now, old subclasses (voidwalker, gunslinger, defender) will be staying. We will have the new three that we saw in the trailer, and another new subclass for each class.
