4v4 only for D2
Tell me I heard that wrong....no 6v6 or big game....I'm pretty much out before this stream started :(
Edit: the rage seems pretty across the board. Halo fan cod fan BF fan. Fast paced slow paced. Even some of the competitive people resent the lack of option.
This decision seems purely for bungies convenience and esports. Not the players to me. Catering to trials style of play....

7 RespuestasI was really shocked by this announcement I was expecting Destiny 2 to have bigger crucible matches not smaller? I hated Trials it was so sweaty and way too competitive for my taste, I'm really not a big fan of small team game modes on other titles because the skill (or lack of) of your teammates can really tilt the balance of the teams badly. In larger game modes a couple of totally useless players is more diluted and can be balanced by the rest of the team and not such a big deal! Making all the game modes 4v4 means if you even have 1 mouth breather or squeaker on your team and the enemy is even remotely competent you're pretty much screwed. I can see it now Destiny 2 crucible is just going to be full of people quitting out of matches as soon as it looks like they are going to lose due to poor teammates. Unless Destiny 2 has some epic skill based matchmaking and fantastic Net code I think restricting it to 4v4 is going to be an absolutely fatal mistake. Total disappointment.

21 RespuestasIts a change to resolve the issue of them balancing for trials. A strong case was made that 6v6 should not be balanced the same as 3v3, so they threw it all out the window, standardized everything at 4v4, and now they only need one balancing patch for all modes. Extremely lazy approach imo. Combine that with the fact that theyre now going to force primary v primary encounters by only allowing us two primaries and a special/heavy weapon- just shows more lazy balancing and a doubling down on their efforts to recreate halo. All while apparently keeping a unified sandbox. This gives me serious cause for concern.

Not just Lfg, and other welcome you but not too help but too make their shit look like it has numbers. I had bad experiences with clans in destiny and other games, and I wish you guys had actually ask a shit load of players how we would feel about it.

I completely agree with what you are saying, 4v4 mode is fine but we need options for more, we need at least some 6v6.

I question that decision as well, I rather find it to cut the variety (Big maps have NO place for a match that will host 8 players), and for a social game that encourages clans.....I don't understand why they would cut down 6 v 6s. That's saying if I was doing a clan run with 5 other people and we would like to PvP that means two individuals is gotta bite the dust to some other team or whatever. Not the best thing, for a game that encourages social activities with friends/clanmates.

7 RespuestasI have no problem with 4v4 as long as it's an [b][u]option[/u][/b]. I wouldn't even mind if they kept the rotating game modes as they did now and maybe had 4v4 salvage alongside 6v6 clash/control. They are eliminating options in gameplay by catering to the purely PvP or eSport focused players which has been pointed out by more involved parties than myself. I enjoy PvP and I don't have a problem with them creating a truly competitive environment, but all this shit about it being "Easy to get into, Hard to Master" is the bullshit you hear when someone decides to cut out half of their player base by limiting their ability to have fun in the game.

3 RespuestasNot keen on the 4 v4 idea. I enjoyed the 6v6 clash and control modes much more than any of the 3v3 ones, far less intense and more fun. I wonder if it is because they want to go the E sport route. If so I am out. Will try the beta and make my decisions accordingly.

Only 4x4 modes. Thats doesn't seem right. I like 6v6 modes and was hoping for even bigger battles, like Battlefield 1.
