I am really -blam!-ing tired of people saying that some guns like the ice breaker are overpowered. It isn't it is just because bungie nerfs the special ammo and that gun is one of the best ways you can work around that nerf as it re gens ammo. Rarely ever have bungie buffed something that it completely changes the meta. The meta is often changed when they nerf something into the ground. I watched Datto's video and did not like it at all. Here's why and how you could fix the meta.
One of his points was Bungie want the crucuble to be like what it is now but Bungie released the game with the primary's being as power as they were. If they wanted a balanced pvp they would have released the weapon balancing closer to what it is now. Exotics have become useless apart from heavy and ice breaker. The game plays so slow now and I feel like you have to be very focused to play a game of crucible and not be destroyed. No one can really play casual anymore. The game should be like what halo reach was (in terms of pvp). It was exciting every weapon killed fast and it was fun. Even though they are 2 different game series but the PvP in both are very similar. But Destiny's PvP is not fun anymore. Before the special nerf which was -blam!-ing ridiculous, primary's had such a slow time to kill, that special became way more viable. Secondary should be a extension of your primary not the other way around. I am sick of the pvp in this game now. Balanced slow PvP doesn't make the game enjoyable fast balanced PvP would. I suggest Auto rifles return to Vanilla Destiny (but suros regime recieves a slight nerf because it was broken), Vex Mythoclast returns to vanilla but recieves a sligth nerf, Pulse rifles to Beginning of taken king, Hand cannons to The house of wolves days (expect the last word bonus damage only comes from hip fire, also thorn returns to its before Taken King April update nerf), Snipers return to Taken kings days, shotguns to post taken king April update, Fusions and side arms remain untouched. Scout rifles have only been buffed but need a extended buff, so highest rate of fire SR gain more aim assist and do 33 to the body and 48 to the head, the mida Archetype does 59 to head and 40 to the body , the hung jury archetype do 65 to the head and 43 to the body , the jade rabbit archetype gain better stability across the board and also do 75 to the head and 50 to the body. Also special ammo returns to it beginning taken king days. Abilities remain untouched.
After all of that I still do love this game apart from PvP, PvE has never been better but the rewards are maybe too kind but it is the last few months so I will let it slide.

1 RespuestaWhen they nerfed special ammo they should've thought about this weapon. The Ice Breaker isn't overpowered but having special ammo constantly at hand is. Even the Invectives ammo doesn't spawn at the same rate that this weapon does. In fact the Invective revived a nerf based on its ammo regen rate a while back.

It works exactly as intended. The only thing wrong is we lack any other options to use other than sidearms. Because waiting for 1 minute after every death in a game that last 7 minutes for special ammo is not a viable option

1 RespuestaIcebreaker isn't op. It's simply broken in this meta. No sniper (not talking about nlb plebs) should be able to have ammo without getting special boxes. On respawn with IB you don't have to look for ammo, wait a few seconds and your good to go. That's broken, especially considering any other sniper you must find ammo.

15 RespuestasYou're just plain wrong. Snipers in general are OP for Crucible. They are ridiculously easy/quick to use and give you OHK at range. Scouts are fine. ARs are much more stable and effective at range than they should be. The balance problems are entirely because of the perk system that breaks weapons' archetypes.

I like playing a game in 6v6 called shotty or snipe. Depending on the map I either run double sniper or uni sidearm and I actually have a lot of fun doing that.

I approve. Or maybe take a frame off each scout's time between shots so they shoot faster. Special ammo should be returned, but I propose a strike hard limit on bullets. Instead of getting 50 bullets and losing most of them, you get a few at start, and you can claim two chests with a small supplement of ammo in them. Rampages are impossible, but specials always work.

Fun is more important than "balance." The customer is always right. If your fans are having fun with something, dont go and change it just cuz you want to. Or do it. Doesnt matter to me. Bungie is gunna be the one with rug burns on their knees after the game is "balanced" and no one gives a shit anymore

In my opinion they should also remove the sidearm ammo if they we're nerfing all the special ammo. Ice Breaker itself is just fine, because sniping takes at least some skill. And also sticky nades should have some kinda of nerf tbh.

3 RespuestasI really don't understand the argument for Ice Breaker and No Land Beyond being overpowered. They're not even good. The single reason they're used so much is because they give sniper ammo without cracking ammo crates. I never saw either of them used before the special ammo nerf, but now every other player uses them. While I do like that they're relevant, because I really love the special weapons in the primary slot thing, I hate the reason why they're relevant. All these arguments for pvp being stagnant, having no variety, and so on are fairly justified. Fairly, solely because there are still a lot of people that still use other weapons regardless of "what's best in pvp." I neither agree, nor disagree with all these pvp arguments. I stay clear of pvp as much as possible. I can stand losing in pvp because I'm bad, but losing to lag makes me want to destroy the game disc and call it a day.
