That was two years ago, quite obviously things have changed. And until there's confirmation I'm holding onto hope that cosmetic kiosks will carry into Destiny 2, they haven't specifically mentioned them and it's only an implication that it won't.
Is it really that big a deal that you'll have to relevel subclasses, charactets, and get new gear? No, not really. You keep your characters, you're just starting from the beginning. I've got so much useless crap in the vault I can't bring myself to delete so a fresh start would be great.
Not to mention doing it this way still lets people play Destiny without being forced to upgrade. Kind of like when they cut last gen consoles.

"Things change" True, however the main selling point for Destiny was this "10 year journey". Of which, Bungie stated our progress would carry over into the sequels. The very fact that they've went back on this really makes me want to sue. I bought this game because I wanted to use my gear and such through those ten years, not for it to get wiped. They wasted the most valuable currency in the world; time. I've wasted three years of my time to build up my characters, going from rags to epic armour, only for what? It to get wiped for the sequel? What's the point in buying Destiny 2 if all of my hard earned gear and progress is going to be wiped for Destiny 3? That's right, there is none. -blam!- that. I'll keep up with the story through watching YouTube walkthroughs, but I will [b][i]not[/i][/b] be buying another Destiny game. No way am I wasting my time again for nothing.

Game.[/i][/b] And if you feel everything you did in this game was for nothing, seriously, you're priorities are misguided.

I bought this game specifically because they said our character and progression would be carried over to the sequels. The fact that they're going back on their word is -blam!-ing shameful.

If hundreds upon hundreds of hours dedicated to a game isn't worth it to you, then there's nothing I can tell you. Have a good one, discussing isn't worth it.
