Hello, there have been many attempts to pin down the effect of the 'Rodeo' perk and they've been inconclusive at best. Please, fix the perk if it's broken, and if it's not, could you explain to us what it's officially supposed to do?
Friendly commenters: Before you reply, be aware that I've seen all the theories about what the perk does, but none of the evidence presented has been conclusive, and I've been unable to replicate any effect reliably in my own tests.

Rodeo is best on LMGs. Ive got a BTRD with Rodeo, HC rounds, and Battle Runner, and its extremely stable.

25 RespuestasI've got a parthian shot with rodeo, perfect balance, and counterbalance.
that piece stable
3 RespuestasRodeo doesnt appear to do anything on its own because its vertical assistance is negligable to how much horizontal recoil a weapon produces. Counterbalance fixes the gross amount of horizontal recoil making for more predictable spray but also increases that weapons vertical recoil. Start farming weapons that can have rodeo and counterbalance and compare those to the same one just without rodeo and you will notice plainly that the horizontal and vertical recoil are dramatically less then the same weapon with just counter balance. Once high cal gets nerfed these laser steady rolls will be godly.

8 RespuestasEditado por TJD93: 2/12/2017 2:31:58 PMKinda funny that I came across this post. I recently got a shadow price with perfect balance and counter balance, and I've had one with rodeo and perfect balance for a while now. The other perk on both has nothing to do with stability (during the test at least) and they have the same sight equipped. The stat bars are exactly the same on both. I decided to test to see which was better, so I found a nice secluded wall and started shooting. As expected, the perfect/counterbalance had a pattern as close to straight vertical as you can get. The rodeo/perfect balance one had somewhat more side to side movement, with more variance in which direction the gun pulled, but, the overall pattern was, on average, only about 3/4 as tall as the other pattern. I'm not sure if rodeo adds any additional magnetism or aim assist, but just going by what I tested, it would have a better grouping if fired at a gun range target without actively controlling the recoil. I'm currently uploading a video to youtube, will update with the link when its done. Edit: Video is up for anyone interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChAFMBI8TRQ

Counterbalance/Rodeo - Counterbalance changes the recoil behavior of your weapon to be completely vertical with no side-to-side movement. Rodeo reduces the sharpness of recoil (crosshair movement). Both work slightly differently to a similar end - more controllable recoil. While not the best within this group, they are universally positive perks to have that you will always benefit from. Nobody can argue with more accurate shot placement.

Rodeo apparently is SUPPOSED to remove the Vertical Recoil, leaving only the Horizontal, which is harder to control.
-
4 RespuestasRodeo reduces side to side recoil., making it vertical only. So if it rolls on a weapon that already has a completely vertical recoil, then this perk in-fact does nothing.

Editado por Maestro25: 2/12/2017 7:25:05 AMRodeo sucks on its own but if you ever get Perfect Balance, Counterbalance, Rodeo... I mean that seems pretty good I have that on a Haakon's Hatchet and Zero Day Dilemma

4 RespuestasRodeo is about 2-3% vertical and horizontal stability increase. It very negligible compared to perfect balance.

2 RespuestasIn my opinion it doesn't do much. It needs a big buff.

4 RespuestasEditado por TheRadiantHexblade: 2/11/2017 7:02:38 AMIt's basically "Shot Package" for non-shotguns. As in, it keeps the bullets grouped together for more accurate shooting. Rodeo can also be compared to "Persistence", except Rodeo is passive. Where as "Persistence" needs you to be firing for a certain amount of time.

2 RespuestasIt reduces the up and downward recoil pattern. It is works but works well only when stacked with another stability perk unless the weapon has good base stability

Editado por nwtype6: 2/11/2017 5:46:20 PMI'm not sure, but from my experience with it on my soulstealers claw. It seems that you get the full recoil of the weapon on the first shot then after the first bullet all the others that follow (as long as your holding the trigger down) seem to produce no recoil, making it much easier to control. I like the perk, seems to be very effective for me at least. The gun is equipped to my hunter if you want to take a look. Forgot to mention that it has perfect balance as well. So that might make the rodeo perk more noticeable, but I'm no expert on the subject.

It's a troll perk designed to trick you into wasting a perk slot.
