Destiny 2
When bungie announces destiny 2 everyone is gonna lose their sh*t.
You can hate the game all you want, but it's the most successful new franchise in history. It's gonna hit record sales topping any other game in 2017 and that's a fact.
I mean ffs, it's dlc, Rise of Iron, made more money than Destiny during the first month of release, #RiseofIron was #1 in the trending page on twitter on the day of release, and there were millions trying to log-in on the day of release. There's no doubt destiny will become activision's next hit. CoD is getting old and activision knows this. They probably will still make CoD every year; while destiny will be their 2-3 year release.

-blam!- no. I know I'm chilling on a forum where most are partial to Destiny, but look at the outside. Most bought Destiny, bought season pass, then quit. The only reason RoI brought anyone back was because they advertised it like a sequel. Seeing how disappointed everyone was there, I'm sure that a sequel will crash and burn.

My main hope is that they change destiny 2 and make it vastly different from destiny. From the HUD to the UI and from the supers to the locations. I want everything to be different.

Not just adding dude. Improving vastly. Bungie themselves have stated that they're not afraid to make major changes, so it's expected destiny 2 to be very different. Who knows, maybe bungie will scrap the current story and start fresh. I wouldn't care.

My point exactly. I'm hoping for a story based around Lysander and the city. You can either join Lysander or side with the city. This would be far better than "Oh no the cabal have invaded the Solar system."

There isn't gonna be a lot of people willing to give up money to find out. The company has burnt people numerous times already.

After the crap that was vanilla why would anyone buy the dark below? House of wolves? Taken king? People still bought those. Rise of iron, according to your logic, should have gotten crap sales, but it didn't.

Right, because Activision are always totally honest about how well their games are doing and never ever pay off for good reviews... Besides, they haven't ever published sales numbers.
