when alone on destiny and have nothing to do i like to walk around and explore the patrol areas but they are all so small and stuff that i can only explore for like an hour or so. then going back to those patrols are boring and sad :c
if the strike areas were open for exploration that would be cool too, seems more detail goes into areas
oh and add a lot of the optional scanning stuff everywhere, there have been to many times i see something cool and i cant scan it to get any info on it
Edit: lots of ESO mention so id like to add that if they made big open areas and such like ESO it would also be very cool if the story missions would take us through the whole area first before getting to the next area instead of jumping around the map like destiny 1 story missions

2 RespuestasEvery now and then I land in a map and find myself seeming alone. At first it isn't a big deal -- but after some time of it feeling like it is just me, I start to get creeped out. I don't know if bigger maps -- I assume leading to more alone time -- would be fun or not.

Or...not decrease the amount of content when releasing new content. Also, not make DLC mandatory

Editado por GalaxySpider: 1/24/2017 8:43:45 PMSize doesn't matter. More important is how you fill the available space with interesting things. Right now patrols don't invite the player for exploring. Take the Dreadnought (smallest) or Mars (biggest) and you will see no difference at all. All they offer are RNG chests and patrol mission beacons...

They should have linked the beginning of the Raid areas with the Patrol areas like in VoG. They could have did it at the Hellmouth for Crota's End, a perfect place for Court of Oryx at King's Fall, and at Foundry 113 the begining of Wrath of The Machine. The beginning raid areas should have been made a gold tier public event to help the raid teams at the start of the raid. Just make the start of the raid harder so randoms on patrol could help out, as long as it is an area with lots of traffic. I don't think ANYONE runs through Foundry 113 on patrol. I still hang around Venus to help people on VoG. It's still fun.

Editado por Rynoceros: 1/23/2017 4:07:33 PMPatrol may as well be a rail shooter. "Can't go there, too far away." "Can't go there, too high." "Can't go there, it's slightly off of the clearly marked path that you're free to explore in this open-world environment..." And add some enemies, for -blam!-'s sake. Are we in the middle of a battle for control of the universe, or policing stray alien families like this is District 9?

I'd appreciate proximity chat also

3 RespuestasI definitely would like to see the strike areas open up on patrol, kind of like how we use Splicer keys to access areas in the Plaguelands. Maybe you come across mini bosses like that Ultra Knight on the Dreadnaught.
-
1 RespuestaI heard (Although it may just be a rumor) the Destiny 2 will have more patrol areas on planets as well as much larger patrol areas with friendly NPC's that will actually fight back (Frames, most likely) and even talk of integrated social areas where you can pick up area specific bounties.
-
I don't mind bigger patrol areas. So long as you give lots of reasons to be there instead of anywhere else.
-
Id kill for way bigger patrol areas. Patroling is one of my faveorite things to do.
-
1 RespuestaAdd matchmaking for raids as well instead of making us do it ourselves through lfg its the exact same thing as matchmaking so the whole elite team communication line they feed is utter lazy
-
2 RespuestasWell I heard rumour somewhere that destiny 2 was basically going to have giant free roam areas on planets and instead of patrol spawns and locations we have towns, villages and cities to find and explore. If this is the case then oh I'm excited... even more so if each town/city had its own style of armour and weaponry...

As someone with 23 days played on Patrol, I approve this message.
-
Only thing I have to say is: Yes And a crap ton of enemies and boundless light modifiers (your super recharges really really fast)
-
I might not get it if it doesn't.

17 RespuestasOne thing people don't realize is that the way destiny is right now is because of ps3 and Xbox 360. Those two archaic systems were not able to handle anything bigger than what we already have. With destiny 2 being next gen exclusive, we'll definitely see more open patrol areas and just a better game in general. #GoodRiddanceLastGen

1 RespuestaEditado por Goldship: 1/24/2017 4:27:59 AMI'm curious as to what can we explore in d2 I'm personally hoping for European dead zone or really any other place on earth other than one segment of the cosmodrome or the moon, or Venus, or mars Don't get me wrong I like those places but we've had around 3 years of only one sometimes two place or places on each planet yet it makes you wonder what the other places are like
-
8 RespuestasImagine, Destiny 2, with the content stream and satisfaction of Y1, with the story and quality that Y2 had. Patrol zones with the depth of the Dreadnaught and the size of the Plaguelands...
-
Hey don't worry, Bungie already knows what you want!
facial hair!
-
I'd prefer patrol to have more to do rather than just being bigger, a massive mostly empty field sounds dumb
-
2 RespuestasAgreed. Also i think destiny needs to take a page out of Division's book and make patrol bigger and more like dark zone and I guess the survival dlc that came out. I would love to do patrol if it had some relevance with the story or factions or if you could get an exclusive patrol exotic weapon. Sadly destiny falls short in every aspect. Hopefully destiny 2 will be better. I doubt it though
-
2 RespuestasSeamless patrols. No more garbage loading between zones.
-
One of the things I was thinking this game was when I bought it years ago (after doing no research on it by the way) was a next gen, free roaming game like far cry 4 was (just finished it before destiny). I was a bit disappointed in that regard but it ended up being more in different areas than I could've imagined. In y1 anyway.
-
4 RespuestasPersonally I'd love to see a new patrol type that is essentially like the divisions dark zone so we can fight each other in patrol and maybe it could give substance to an actual competition between the factions in destiny
-
4 RespuestasApparently there's going to be a patrol area on Saturn that's larger than all of the current ones combined
