April is three months away. If a massive bug happens and they can't fix it in that time, then that's on Bungie's incompetence.

  • Every bug is different. Some are quick and easy fixes, but others might be more complicated. If something huge happens, fixing it may have to work through a chain of lines of code that may affect other things.

  • Having a bug ant anything new, if it is to you welcome to this world. They aren't using an engine that lets them quickly and swiftly fix, add, change, basically anything. They've said it can take a full day just to load the code.

Except they are, because they have, on numerous occasions, had swift bug fixes. Remember last year's SRL when people were getting the book for free? Patched in less than a day. If you're blindly following the words of a company notorious for misleading and outright lying to their userbase, that rests solely on your inability to think.

  • Have you ever heard about working on a game like destiny? I don't know about bungie but someone who worked on other games of similar size had said it isn't like a regular desk job, wasn't at all uncommon to have a 60 hour work week to keep up with demands and patches. If a game breaking bug comes out its for sure better to fix that over other things. The SRL book losing them money..... If you don't understand why they would fix that asap then I'm just done replying.

  • People are frustrated because bungie is fast to patch exploits that benefit the players but slow to fix things that hurt the players, now I'm no game dev so I don't know what all goes into patches... but you gotta understand from a consumer point of view you pay money for a product and it has issues and they aren't getting fixed in a timely manner and they aren't giving you timeframes when they will be fixed, it's not the consumers job to understand the struggles of the devs we just pay them money and expect a working product and reasonably so. If bungie was more open about what's taking them on fixing things it would help, I mean there's still gonna be complainers but there always are. So yeah people are frustrated

  • That's the thing, they already have our money, it's like people throwing their Kellogg's cereal into the trash with that whole news thing right now, they don't need to care as they already bought the cereal they are recording themselves throwing into the trash. But in bungies case they'll prioritize what saves their money, game breaking exploits that'll push if'y players out, glitches that literally lose them money. They aren't going to think about us 100% of the time when let's face it, they didn't make destiny to please us, they made it to make money

  • That's true but if you piss of your player base you will have a hard time getting more money from them there's a balance, I still think bungie isn't JUST in it for the money there's still some artistic vision in it

  • No no I wasn't trying to say it's 100% for money, they could make a pay to win game on iPhone for that lol, but money has to be priority number one way I see it. Plus I know I'd be pissed if let's say there was a glitch to use a vanilla last word in the crucible over the current version...... idk I'm satisfied with destiny at the moment but I see why many aren't

  • I wonder if destiny wouldve been better if it had a paid subscription? Like that way they could have more constant content drops? And if people were unhappy they could unsubscribe and that would cost them money which would motivate change.... I dunno just musing

  • With the engine destinys on it wouldn't work, altho. If have no issue paying monthly to play destiny so long as we got a lot more content and regular updates
