Please bump if you agree with what is said below. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.
-------------------------------------------------
One of the biggest problems with Destiny from day 1 has been the lack of story and in game lore, and that's still the case. So why is Bungie focusing so much on all of the PvP feedback and not really doing much in PvE. Yeah, they're fixed some PvE problems, and that's great, but this game has become much too focused on PvP.
Destiny was not meant to be a mainly PvP game, and sadly that's what's happened. If we truly want Destiny 2 to be an improvement, the focus must be on PvE. The original idea of Destiny, the one that built massive hype and won over E3 when it debuted was a game full of exploring, fighting mysterious enemies of the darkness and saving humanity, not an idea of a broken sandbox full of sweaties taking money from less skilled players just to win some PvP matches to get rare gear. That's not what this game was meant to be, nor what it should be.
The potential is still there. Destiny could be a game changer, a standard of excellence that other developers would strive to achieve. It could be great. But none of it happens unless attention is taken away from PvP, not completely, but taken away and put towards a great story, mind blowing lore, and an amazing PvE experience that's worth coming back to again and again.
Side note: If PvE and PvP tuning was done separately, I believe PvE players would feel less neglected.
EDIT: Thank you for all of the support, this is amazing. I hope it's enough to get recognized by Bungie so they realize what the community really wants.

4 Respuestas10000000000000% disagree. Dedicated servers for pvp is the only thing that will allow destiny 2 to last.

What rare gear are you trying to get from pvp?

Currently has little story and PvP revolves around a handful of weapons. D2 needs to be much better or I just won't come back

1 RespuestaEditado por D34N0000: 12/24/2016 6:32:08 AMWhile I agree the pve needs massively improved. I disagree it's got anything to do with story or lore. The game has deep lore if you're willing to read it. That's not a defence, it should be in the game, but if you're really interested in it, it's there. My problem is the fact it's a loot game with maybe the most boring, basic loot system. That's what makes destiny a two week game for me. Once I experience the raid, other than the odd raid with friends I feel no need to play the game. That's really bad for a loot game, I play other mmos
now I know destiny isn't an mmo but it's designed to be like one
and they make me come back to complete that armour set to see how it effects my build, for example. Because in proper mmos changing a amour set will drastically change your stats and how the build works. In destiny, sets are mostly cosmetic 👎 Now while destiny is an fps an sure people will say it's got the best graphics and gameplay, and that's probably right. It's shallow as hell, it gets so dry so fast with nothing meaningful to obtain, and for the kind of game it's trying to emulate it's not good at all. And no graphics or nice gameplay or even great story can make up for that in my eyes. Bungie needs to in my opinion, make this the fps mini mmo clone it started out as and make it deeper. With more stats and gear with set bonus perks like every other game of it's type. But they won't because a fps just brings a different player base. Destiny has got worse and more casual with every dlc and update, lowering playtime but the community is almost united in saying it's improved. I could be wrong but pvp will be the future of this game. The pve will continue to be easier to aquire gear, again lowering play time. While it's quality of loot will lower indefinitely in the name of pvp balance. Shame, destiny had the potential to be a truly great game.

1 RespuestaI agree. The lore and story behind Destiny has potential, but is poorly executed. It's one of the best shooters that I've ever played, but the story telling leaves much to be desired.
