HEAR ME OUT
I believe I found the solution to High Rate /Low Impact vs Low Rate/High Impact problem we find again and again.
It seems...
High Caliber Rounds + High rate fire = no Bueno
So what if we REMOVED it...
AND
Make it intrinsic...To certain weapons
High Rate of Fire - no intrinsic perk, ya should be happy that your TTK is already lower than most weapon archetypes *cough* cleaver dragon & Doctrine of Passing *cough*. This would remove the need to directly nerf the weapon, eg making high rate pulse a four pulse kill.
Mid Rate of Fire - High caliber rounds, it's fire rate is not so fast that you are stun locked but still present a slight advantage
Low Rate of Fire - Armor Piercing Rounds, arguably the highest TTK in the game. With its high impact its logical that it's bullets should go through certain objects. Also high caliber rounds should penetrate Jug shields and certain cover. That would finally give low rate weapons a chance when they are getting rushed.
This would apply across the board to all primary archetypes. If the weapon fire rate/impact are between X - Y they are placed into one of the above catagories and given one of the above characteristics.
So let's get to ripping me a new one over my asinine idea . I love the debate
EDIT: And without further ado... BOOBIES!!!!
4 RespuestasJust have flinch scale more to impact than it does right now, where it's more dependent how many bullets per second are put out. (Which obviously massively favors pulse rifles) Don't think any intrinsic perks need to be added, but just scale flinch more closely to impact. Taking HCR off of Clever Dragon would be nice as well, if only to allow The Waltz a bit of a place to shine.

4 RespuestasTriple tap should be an intrinsic perk on every hand cannon. No it only do you get a round back, but it also conditions you to a higher, and more accurate rate of fire.
-
2 RespuestasI'd switch the mid and low, cause then low fire rates would stagger in PvE and could compete with mid. Otherwise everyone would use mid (also the ammo increase to kid would be nice)
-
3 RespuestasLow and mid should be switched. Also, it doesn't make sense that the lowest impact weapon can have HC rounds. ... It doesn't make sense that the lowest RoF/ highest impact weapons have the slowest kill time. What?!

10 RespuestasThat seems a little unfair, no? Why not just raise the TTK of the other weapons via damage buffs or additional bullets in a pulse rather than give it the ability to flinch others and completely take that ability away from other guns? I just couldn't get behind adding such a valuable perk like HC rounds as an intrinsic perk while stripping it from another. Doesn't make much sense to me.
