Before the last match making patch I enjoyed crucible. Sometimes I was top of the leader board, sometimes last. Most times I was in the bottom half, but I still had fun.
Now I'm lucky not to be last every match. I see more Red Bar Warriors (duly reported). In fact most games I'm lucky to get 6 steps after spawn.
"Get gud" you might say. I say "I like to sit back and enjoy crucible, not have a sweaty match every game".
Edit: this is my opinion, generated from my experience. Everyone has their own, this was my way of hopefully giving bungie some feedback

Crucible is in a good place right now. Disregarding the weapon balance .

2 RespuestasI think you people are exaggerating. Haven't seen any red bars, and I'm happy about that. Crucible is in a good place right now.

1 RespuestaSounds like youve played rift. Switch to another playlist and youll be fine. (Maybe not the classic ones because bc theyre mostly used for sweaty matches)

It's interesting because I've seen so many new players the past three weeks (low levels out on patrol). They must go into crucible and say, "this sucks- never again!".

3 RespuestasIt's pretty brutal man. And it's a real problem. If they have their sbmm at full speed, it's red bar city. If they give us CBMM it's try hard central. The last several games I played, which was last week and I haven't played since, I just turned it off. Played a skirmish where one guy on the enemy team had like 30 kills and the rest of us were at like 10-15 or something. I don't remember exactly. But once I saw him Garrison around the pole on Last Exit and shotgun some one and skate away... I was just done. I'm not ever going to be able t compete with that especially if my teammates are on my level or worse. The issue of sbmm is like talking about immigration. There's just no right answer.
-
3 RespuestasYeah. Agree with this. I was doing "ok" but now I'm virtually getting annihilated each match lol. Get good doesn't have much meaning after two strokes which screw your coordination and reflexes. I'm 50 so not likely to get much better. But it's a game, so let's just have fun and play it...

1 RespuestaI like this match-making. I see less red-bars and I can consider it a fair and square loss if I lose instead of watching the guy teleporting all over the map shooting with matador.
-
1 Respuesta
"I like to sit back and enjoy crucible, not have a sweaty match every game".
Interestingly enough, anytime someone said this when SBMM was in full force they would get crucified for it.
-
1 RespuestaI'm not sure why you think a game type that you are actively competing against other live opponents is something you can "sit back and enjoy" Watch a movie or read a book. Need a little more spice than that, play PVE. And this is coming from a career 1.0 Get better, get used to it, or get lost.

1 RespuestaReading some of these painfully constructed comments like what? ,_, What I basically take away is the top 1% didn't want sweety matches. Also, the top 1% doesn't think the other 99% played sweaty matches. What does SBMM mean to -blam!-ing inbreeds? It's skill based match making its all sweaty. The difference is now the 1% can just pubstomp and the others just get -blam!-ed. THE PROBLEM WAS NOT SBMM CBMM IT WAS PEER 2 PEER
sometimes you gotta use capslock to get it to you retards
-
2 RespuestasI pretty much knew this would happen if SBMM was eliminated. So did Bungie. They, I, and others presented logical reasons for SBMM to say. We were screamed down by legions of players clogging the forums with SBMM hate. Finally, Bungie gave the players what they wanted. You know the saying: "Be careful what you wish for... you may get it!"

Everyone's doing SLR and those new strikes. Of course the population is low and the matches won't be so great.
-
1 RespuestaDid you play Iron banner last week? I play solo most of the time and didn't find it too bad. I got owned a few times and wanted to Choke a few M-Fers and then wrecked some people other matches. But that is usually How my PVE experience goes. I guess Having no skill is working out for me. ;)

48 RespuestasYou have been enjoying crucible for the past year. Meanwhile the top 1% have been playing nothing but sweaty games for an entire year and you've had to play sweaty games for how long again? The bottom line is this is how matchmaking should have always been and it never should have been changed.
-
13 RespuestasWe all have the same chances of getting destroyed by top tier players. I'm top 10%, but I know there's going to be times where I get stomped by players that are even better than me and I accept that. I don't think a matchmaking system should shelter me from better players than I am. Also, there's a reason why they're called top 10% players. You only have a 10% chance of these players even being in your lobby in the first place. You're not going to be facing these players every single match unless you don't back out of the lobby or if the matchmaking fućk up and puts you back in a lobby with said player(s). You guys over exaggerate the hell out of this.

1 RespuestaWhen the new matchmaking came along i was dissapointed. Ran into really good players right away but now i realize Ive actually gone positive in several matches and sometimes in a row. That never happened before. Im very much a casual. Ive had to up my game. Sure, at times i run into very good players and get my ass kicked hard. There are highs and lows. Before it was just mono.

I'm 50/50 on it. I have seen a lot more red bars now (to be honest, they don't go red until they start losing bad.) That's my biggest issue. Makes me think that a lot of the top teir players actually do cheat. I'm in no way claiming I'm good, and if I get beat I get beat. However, I can't stand to lose to a cheater.
-
the idea of sweaty just pisses me off.. ITS COMPETITIVE PLAY. if you don't want that, go play pve or get a group of friends together and -blam!- around all you want.
-
1 RespuestaBunch of whiny girls that want to be sheltered from better players. We are all mixed in now get used to it.
-
1 RespuestaEditado por beedel: 12/15/2016 6:25:26 PMI'm very much a casual player, it seems fine to me. Although I'm seeing more red bar players than before.
-
Editado por SquidGuy: 12/15/2016 6:44:02 PMI am not casual, but I'm not great at pvp. I like the changes.
The luckiest squid you will ever meet.

New match making is terrible
fixed it. i have never seen so many green bar laggy players. not to mention the increase in red bar players. i don't care what they do to matchmaking, as long as they can minimize the lag.
-
3 RespuestasI played Iron Banner a few weeks ago when it was control and had the same experience you did. I hadn't realized how much of a difference SBMM made. I was looking forward to playing pvp more, but not now. Oh well.
"I like to sit back and enjoy crucible, not have a sweaty match every game".
Which is exactly what was happening to anyone in the upper 40%, now it'd fsir, everyone plays everyone. Excellent change tbh
