The way Trials is set up only favors elimination style play with the rounds and what not.
I don't want it to change at all, but if it has to, I'd prefer something like CTF or S&D variant to anything already in game.
Something like Clash or Control just doesn't work with the round-based game.

Hey duke I think you may have misinterpreted what I am suggesting. Elimination is set up with Rounds" best of 5". What I am suggesting is that Trials of Osiris doesn't have to be elimination each week it could be another game mode variant such as Skirmish, Clash, Supremacy Etc. There would be no rounds.Best of 5 Rounds are only in the game mode of elimination
-
I understood. I guess I'm just against it. I like elimination and think it fits perfectly with what Trials is supposed to be. Don't really want it to change at all, but like I said, if it HAS to, I'd rather see a new CTF or S&D variant than I would anything already in-game.
-
Well it didn't seem you really understood because you stated you didn't think other game variants would work because of the "rounds". That suggests you aren't quite grasping what I'm talking about. Don't get me wrong elimination is fun in and of itself, but it's the same thing week after week. There are other game modes or game types out there. Why not throw them in the mix?
-
And I brought up the rounds because that's a pretty essential mechanic the way it is now. Bounties and all that would have to change. Not saying it's impossible or even hard, but worth mentioning.

I personally don't think objective based modes belong in trials. Just preference. It's why I disagree with the OT tie breaker being a zone cap, but that's a different topic. I also just think elimination is exactly what trials should be. Yeah it's the same thing every week aside from maps changing, but it's something I look forward to every week. It being anything else would ruin it for me personally.
-
So what would ruin it for you is the objective? How exactly are clash or skirmish objective game modes
-
No. What would ruin it for me is it not being elimination. Thats what I said. "It being anything else" meaning anything not elimination.
