Anyone else pretty disappointed by this years games?
Just haven't found that "can't wait to get home and play it" game, besides destiny ofc. I play a lot of games too and the only ones I've even liked this year have been destiny, doom, deus ex, and battlefield 1, but I'm sure it will get old fast. What do you guys think?

Because people keep preordering these damn games a year before they come out. Just wait until they release, they won't sell out. No games sell out anymore, it's too easy to burn more discs or just buy digital.

It wasn't terrible for me. I got Doom and Titanfall 2. And I wasn't completely disappointed with No Man's Sky.

5 RespuestasNot really... the only disappointment I've particularly had was battlefield 1... the story missions were nice but too short and admittedly I didn't play many pvp matches but it just felt a slow really... and of course almost everyone was using fully automatic weapons while I attempted to use a nice bolt action rifle...

The only problem I had this year was that most of the big release games were FPS. I'm not a huge fan of competitive multiplayer games. I barely play the crucible in Destiny.

Same. I think the 2 games I've played the most this year were Fallout 4 and Rocket League, both of which came out in 2015. I played the shit out of every BF until now, but I'm already bored of BF1. Didn't even finish the campaign either. I only did the tank war story.

The past three years, actually. I feel like dev's are just doing exactly what the community wants, and turning their games in shiet, because the community doesn't know anything.

Not really disappointed so much as unexcited. I like maybe 5 games that have released this decade so my expectations have been pretty low, especially since 2014 with Destiny and MCC killing all excitement I had for new releases. That said, I'm cautiously optimistic about next year. Yooka Laylee, Sea of Thieves and The legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are setting themselves up for something special.

14 RespuestasThe only 2016 game I've purchased is Street Fighter 5 on steam sale this weekend. Which I guess shows my lack of interest in 2016 games. The reason I don't buy games in general much anymore is beause they're all barebones suppport platforms for DLC. They don't even hide it anymore. I'm not interested in just buying a skeletal frame for you to sell me the rest of the game onto. The only reason I even got SFV was because it was 50% off and I'm not interested in any of the DLC characters so I don't mind playing the extremely barebones and basic core game. Battlefield 1 I played at a friend's place, and it was nice as Battlefield is, but I would not -blam!-ing ever buy an EA game given that they're not complete until a year later with another $60 dropped.
