This has been on my mind for a while now...but I have a theory about who Aksis was before he was Archon Prime.
I believe he was Aksor, Archon Priest.
BTW These are all just theories, I could be wrong about all of this.
His grimoire card says he was a former Archon Priest, and his name and the way he looks are way too similar to Aksor for it to be a coincidence.
And the fact that SIVA was used to bring back Sepiks furthers this. Could it be possible for SIVA to revive the dead? Possibly. Even if Aksor's body was destroyed, maybe his soul wasn't.
Back to his grimoire card, it says he is the "fruit of the Devil Splicers labor".
Think about it.
Overcoming death is a really big obstacle. Even though, just as Saladin has said, they haven't yet mastered SIVA although the Splicers seem to know how to use it well enough. Since they were able to bring back Sepiks (a machine), maybe they thought about moving on towards bringing back biologically dead beings. Furthering research and what not.
Maybe somehow the Devils found what was left of Aksor after we killed him and attempted to restore his soul into a different body of some sort since both thier Prime Servitor, Archon and Kell were dead.
After many attempts, they gave up.
But when they got a hold of SIVA, they tried once more and succeeded. After that, they began to further Aksor's (now Aksis) augmentation to a point where he became "Perfected" and waited within the Perfection Complex until we came along.
I know all of this seems very farfetched, but I believe that I may be onto something.
Tell me what you guys think.

Well, I'm gonna bring this back. The grimoire for the splicers says that there is a faction of evolution bound fallen known as, well, splicers. It does not say they were made right when SIVA was found. They just became a threat when they found SIVA. We also know that they are body manipulators. The theory that Aksis is a fusion of Riksis and Aksor might not be too far off. These Devils are scavengers and they "remove some of their body parts to be joined with SIVA" - Ghost. And finally, even though SIVA might not be able to resurrect the living, we are forgetting something important: the SIVA fragments. In these fragments, it tells us Aksis' transformation into his upgraded self. The final fragment states that Aksis isn't making his own decisions; SIVA was. In the end, my theory is that the Devil Splicers took the bodies of Riksis and Aksor, infused SIVA into their bodies, and made their own machine god that is being controlled not by himself, but by SIVA.

3 RespuestasThe only problem I have with this, besides Aksis' true identity, is the assumption that SIVA can revive the dead. This is not so. People have used Sepkis Prime as an example of SIVA's supposed resurrection abilities. However, Sepkis is a machine. A machine is not truly alive, therefore it cannot truly die.
Yes, I know, I can hear the cries of outrage from Exos everywhere. They are something else entirely, though.
SIVA was not made to resurrect or revive biological beings. Could you possibly make a replica of Aksis? Of course. Could you possess the corpse using SIVA, and make it into a puppet? That's what happened to the Iron Lords. But true resurrection--the act of reviving an individual completely from death--is not possible. In fact, it's not even in its primary function. SIVA is essentially both a tool and material to build and enhance structures. Your Ghost actually gives you a list of the original directives it could've been given. This is found when you're on Mars, looking for the prototype. Resurrection or revival is not part of it.

Aksis was the Devil's Archon Priest. Aksor was the Wolves. Sepiks was a machine, with its body, as seen in Caydes stash, largely intact
-
You forgot to mention that "Priest" and "Prime" both start with "Pri". Very good evidence right there, totally.

11 RespuestasAksor is Winter, not devil. Aksis was Devils Splicer Archon. After controlling SIVA and infusing it into himself, he became part machine. Fallen worship machines, the devils prime servitor was dead, aksis decided to make a power grab and claim title of archon and prime. I may be wrong on this part, but I'm pretty sure that all splicers in ROI are devil splicers. Other houses supposedly have splicer sects as well, but we haven't seen any of them(mainly because they were made up last minute to use mapping and models they already had since they pushed back Destiny 2s release)

He's the revived Devil Archon, there are more than one, too.

86 RespuestasDarling, Siva can't bring back the dead. And just because there names are close doesn't make them comparable.
-
You haven't figured that out already?
-
The fact that they just said his name was changed in the raid along the other day doesn't lend well to your theory. He was originally named meksis (who is now the captain at the top of the siege engine).
-
He was a boss without any story and now he is dead, so I really don't care who he was.
-
3 RespuestasI like the idea, but Aksor was House Winter. I doubt House Devils would bring another house's Archon back to life.
-
13 RespuestasIn the revamped version of the Aksor strike he is taken by Oryx and unless Siva can "untake" Aksor it is most likely not him Still a good theory though
-
Aksis = god king cause he's archon prime

Editado por I hate Watford: 11/20/2016 10:06:09 PMAksis is actually
SYLOK THE DEFILED
7 RespuestasAnd diva brought the dead iron lords back to life but make them against you
-
Or maybe as soon as you leave they start trying to find a way to repair him, barely keeping him alive by a bunch of Servitors. Then SIVA came along
-
Its kind of obvious who he is john galt
-
2 RespuestasMaybe he was taken and "built" from parts of aksor and riksis.

1 RespuestaInteresting point, but I believe that Riksis is the one we're looking for. Let me explain myself. You can check this yourself by loading up the mission Restoration. Probably the most obvious of them all, Riksis is a Devil. Yes, there are theories that Aksor is a Devil, but we got proof of Riksis. So he already is a possible enemy leader. He is also profiled as a very important figure (although he is a walk in the park to kill) in the original story. Next up is the fact that he is an Archon Priest. You know, it says it right above his head... Looks a lot like Archon Prime, no? This argument can also be made for Aksor, but look at Aksis' head. It really looks like the head of Riksis, Aksor, Draksis... Finally, it is proven that SIVA is able to resurrect the dead. Sepiks Prime (Perfected) proves that statement. The Devil Splicers could have easily resurrected Riksis, since his body is just sitting in Dock 13, Cosmodrome. It would be a lot harder for the Splicers to take Aksor from Venus to Earth. To all of you saying that Aksis is a Prime and Riksis a Priest, remember that Sepiks also was a Prime and now is a Perfected...

Sepiks was a machine brought back to life The iron lords were living and taken control of Siva cannot bring back dead things but it could replicate them it would not be the true version of that once living creature
-
1 RespuestaAksor+riksis=
Aksis
-
1 RespuestaWhat about the taken version of his strike...
-
1 RespuestaI think it's dreksis, that one person in the restoration mission, because the ends of their names match up Aksis Dreksis
-
What was in the stream, yes it was Meksis
-
1 RespuestaMore likely riksis, the devil archon you fought very early in the game 1. He is a devil that they would've had easy access to 2. He was an archon
